UX person here: in a social platform, not a critique based one, the introduction of negative yardsticks beyond what we already express in text and through blocks, would likely start generating chilling effects or inhibiting use. Nobody wants the experience of waking up to 20, 200, 2000 dislikes.
“As users ‘dislike’ posts, the system will learn what sort of content they want to see less of. This will help to inform more than just how content is ranked in feeds, but also reply rankings.”
