A gift made for a friend who moved away for school, a kitty on an elliptic curve on a projective plane

Taking a moment to appreciate this banging minimal cover design on this 1960s paperback.
An old paperback copy of CLEAR WRITING by Leo Kirschbaum. It is dog eared and has been scribbled on. The cover consists of a white background, a blue rectangle, 44 small red circles in a tessellated formation, and a black bar sitting beneath them. The assemblage brings to mind an old school mechanical typewriter. All the text is in a classic typewriter font, enhancing this association further. Four different elements. It’s really, really neat.
