Finished reading my first prose novel of 2026! Really enjoyed The Devils by Joe Abercrombie, book is about a suicide squad style group of (sometimes) literal monsters on a mission from God. Lots of fun, despite being quite dark.

I'm sure the wild success of this movie and Kpop Demon Hunters will mean a resurgence in animation work & well paying employment for the artists who made these films.

Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Cartoonists getting mad over the 'what brush do you use?' question baffles me (and I have absolutely seen them in uproar over it, ye gods 🙄). Someone wants to know about your tools! don't you like talking about the tools you use to make comics? I know I do! Ask me about my brush!!!
A surefire way to make comics readership shrink away is to make casual readers feel stupid & embarrassed for making basic comments or asking basic questions. That’s why I cringe when artists get loudly defensive about stuff like “this reminds me of Steven Universe!” or even “what brushes do you use”
