Every time I look at the news Trump has done something I was assured he couldn't do when I expressed fears about it in November 2024

Everytime a white leftist bemoans the way our side talks about the South, I know for a fact they've never spoken to white southerners when they think they're not in mixed company.

A lot of the white voters in deep red states really are horrible shit heads, not poor little lost lambs, and it does no one any favors to fail to reckon with this

and there's not actually anything progressive about just wanting to see angry old men rule the world

When I struggle, the lyrics to "as good a reason" help me:

"Every time you are succeeding
There's an old man somewhere seething
And spite's as good a reason to take his power"
They want you despairing, suicidal, and quiescent. They want you to be convinced of their ultimate victory, and they want you to tell all your friends about it on social media, where everyone can see. They eat this shit up.

The overwhelming majority of "critiques" for things associated with queerness & feminism are just "it's cringe." "Girlbosses are annoying," "blue hair & pronouns are twee," "poly ppl are ugly," "feminists don't get fucked enough," etc
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

No one was actually going to procure a woodchipper and leave a trail of relevance crumbs to lure Megyn Kelly into it but if someone says “Lego makes their green bricks with andrenochrome” there could be a mass shooting at Legoland

Not very often you see a new product that feels like major religions should issue edicts specifically forbidding it
Nightmarish idea for a startup tbh

Good morning from the picket line in Lancaster, PA!

Workers are STILL on ULP strike and are continuing to say DON'T BUY STARBUCKS anywhere! #NoContractNoCoffee

Can't believe this isn't panning out

Wasn't there some law that companies can't make it difficult to cancel their service? Why did it just take me 10 minutes to figure out how to cancel Disney+?

I'm so sick of all this shit. I'm tired of having to spend all day posting about pedophiles and AI tech freaks and various other ghouls destroying the world. I should be posting about mailboxes with teeth and airplanes that flap their wings and gollum's favorite songs. Jesus christ

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

learning about this makes the fact that some ai proponents insist that llms being predictive isn't meaningfully different from how the human mind works make sense. theyre wrong but maybe that is how they were taught to think?

I'm finally watching the 2020 show Soulmates and it's clear that we will never get a second season, which is a shame because I really want a follow up where this company gets sued for pretending to be able to match strangers

If I hadn't already stopped going to Target, this would have done it
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.
