Bluesky suspended Sarah Kendzior today for no reason whatsoever. She just shared excerpts of her articles, which were as always incisive and not offensive at all. Hey @pfrazee.com this is super not OK. I know her- we've interacted a fair bit via chats and her work is essential.

Hey so if you see your senator in this list, could you please call them tomorrow and tell them that you’re mad because they voted to kill the entire hemp farm industry, including your buddy Derek in Oregon?
Thanks, buddy.

I hope this is correct because I will be very very sad if I can't buy CBD products from @fraying.bsky.social anymore
This is deeply misleading. The agricultural section of the bill does NOT ban hemp-derived cannabinoid products that contain less than .3% THC total. www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/hemp/news/15...

REGULATIONS ARE WRITTEN IN BLOOD
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

obviously you only sell almost $6 billion in stock when you're certain a company is going to get even more valuable

The best thread on the Edmund Fitzgerald you'll read.
#OTD in Weather History, 48 years ago, on November 10, 1975, the ore freighter SS EDMUND FITZGERALD was lost with all hands in a severe storm on Lake Superior.
She is perhaps the best known shipwreck on the Great Lakes, and today we remember her loss. 1/

I was at an event yesterday where Rand Paul spoke via video and talked about how great it was to send ACA money "directly to the people" so that they could work collectively to get better deals on health care.

If only I could learn to control my powers. Predicting which plot of an 8 year old TV series I'll happen to tune into does not seem as useful as predicting could be
Woke up this morning to the vivid dream described in the thread below. Tonight, as usual, I'm watching old Murdoch's Mysteries. Turns out this episode (S12E6) is about outerspace creatures that look like humans taking over Toronto! It's freaking me out! That's too much clairvoyance or whatever!
Long complicated dream that Earth was suddenly overtaken by spaceships that looked like jellyfish. Aliens that looked just like people rounded up all the humans and took care of us. I was very preoccupied with not getting separated from my sister who only cared about being with her friends
