I am one, but it’s not about me: we have been speaking out because of the ongoing damage to US medical research, cancer and Alzheimer’s research.

Worse: Rep Mike Collins used a photo of Jon Ossoff to create a deepfake video putting words into Ossoff's mouth he did not say.

And now he and his campaign are bragging about it and promising to do more

Jon Ossoff warned about deepfakes. Now he is one.
A Mike Collins campaign video uses AI to make Sen. Jon Ossoff say outlandish things. A proposed state law would rein in such uses of AI in campaigns.

Let’s thank @murray.senate.gov for speaking up for Jenna and NIH.

This is a heck of a statement.

Brave lawyering achieved this result.

Administration is "engaged in a concerted campaign to purge 'woke,' 'left,' and 'socialist' viewpoints from our country’s leading universities."

Defendants "engaged in coercive and retaliatory conduct in violation of the First Amendment and Tenth Amendment."
BREAKING: In AAUP et al v. Trump (wall-to-wall union lawsuit challenging the administration’s unlawful use of TItle VI to reshape the University of California system), the faculty and staff of the UC system WON!!!

We were granted our preliminary injunction! @aaup.org

Merrick Garland left a standing impression that no one powerful will ever be held accountable. Democrats should rectify that by saying, loudly and every hour, that people who act on illegal orders will face punishment by the next DOJ.
Dems can say: Are you really sure you want to trust Trump, of all people, when he tells you that what he’s directing you to do is lawful, and that you’ll be protected later as a result? That’s a tenuous position for anyone to put themselves into—and Dems should not hesitate to say so.
Awful: Trump's boat bombings are now being justified by a new legal memo that relies on WH's own determinations as evidence. Memo also says people can't be prosecuted for the killings. But that reveals WH knows there's legal vulnerability here, Ds tell me.

I haven't looked but there HAS to be something she said in her wildly contemptuous oversight hearing in September that conflicts with one of these 4 conflicting claims.
Pam Bondi on Feb. 21: Epstein client list is “sitting on my desk right now.”
Bondi’s DOJ on July 7: There’s no client list. As for other Epstein files, “no further disclosure would be appropriate.”
Trump on Nov. 14: Investigate Bill Clinton over Epstein.
Bondi, also Nov. 14: Coming right up, boss!

Democratic elites don’t understand why they lost and want to keep losing.

He is a misogynistic creep who hates working people. A Democratic Party that cares about its constituencies would not be elevating Summers.
NEW: Before the recent Epstein disclosures, Larry Summers was poised to lead the economic policy plank for the Democrats' "Project 2029" effort at the Center for American Progress. He signed off on a housing policy paper CAP was prepping for next week.

America's network of democratic alliances was a jewel. Never before had a great power relied on cultivating voluntary relationships, leading to the richest, most powerful country in history, and benefitting the world relative to the alternative.

Then America decided to throw it away. And for what?

Democratic socialist's Seattle mayoral win is actually in other papers today
You might be thinking, wait, didn't Dems win virtually every election held this year? You're forgetting that in DC, "Democrats are flailing" is not a comment on empirical reality, it is a kind of core ideological truth, a load-bearing pillar in their weltanschauung.
Opinion | Why Democrats keep flailing
Voters aren’t rejecting government. They are rejecting leaders who can’t run it effectively.
