REGULATIONS ARE WRITTEN IN BLOOD
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

He is the self-proclaimed “King of Debt” and spent his entire pre-political career in real estate and was duped by a huckster with a poster board.
This, paired with increasingly frequent unplanned naps, would have had Congressional hearings and calls for the 25th two years ago. Now it’s just Monday

This is terrifying. But, I also think it’s cute that the same paper that spent a large amount of time questioning Biden’s age in 2024 didn’t also question Trump’s age.
They overlapped in high school. Trump is the oldest president ever sworn into office. Maybe try to be objective journalists sometime

A closer look at Trump’s apparent struggles to fight off sleep in the Oval Office — The Washington Post
A Washington Post analysis of multiple video feeds found that Trump spent nearly 20 minutes battling to keep his eyes open at a recent Oval Office event.

Go volunteer for a progressive launching a “hopeless” campaign against an extremely entrenched incumbent currently squatting in a safe Blue seat. The worst thing that happens, is that you drag the incumbent to the Left. Best case? Zohran Mamdani, who was polling at 6% in January.

Imagine being a worthless 74 year old that is hated by virtually everyone (with reason), whose signature achievement as a Senator is longevity, and thinking that you alone have what it takes to be Leader. Bitch, in case you haven’t noticed, we have plenty of feckless cowards; we’re overrun with ‘em
In a normal democracy, a total collapse of party leadership would result in an no-confidence vote and immediate snap elections to find leaders who can lead

If these Senators couldn’t fight for us and for the ACA, they are telling us that they have no intention of addressing the ongoing illegalities; they still view the perpetrators as colleagues. They have told us they aren’t built for the fight. Act accordingly.
Primary all of them. They do not understand how much anger there is. They seem to forget that when we say “I am an angry at the government,” that includes its enablers.

To my senator, @kaine.senate.gov :
Did you see what happened in our state last week? Amazing that Spanberger took your +9% to +15%, right?
Why on earth would you surrender without getting an ACA guarantee? You are politically insulated! You aren’t running for 5 more years, and you folded. Coward.

Remember how the gerontocracy acted when asked to stand up and fight for their constituents. Dick Durbin isn’t even running again. He is completely insulated. He could have been the face of our righteous anger and it would not have cost him anything except the effort. He gave us nothing. Never again
Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous

If you told me Tuesday night at 11 EST that the Dems would cave within a week of massive electoral swings I would have said, “But, anyone who would vote to open without significant concessions would be committing electoral suicide!” The people are pissed. Their Senators don’t get it. Primary them.

I hate to criticize on a win, but Burden and Loveland need more targets. Too may ball hit hands and then turf. These two catch what is thrown at them and help their QB
Last two games (TGT/REC/YDS):
Loveland 10/11/173
Burden is 13/15/173 on the season
And, Monangai only getting 7 touches?

Two games in a row Caleb Williams willed this team to a victory. I never want to hear another word about maybe Caleb isn’t a franchise QB.

Caleb needs to learn to throw and catch on the same play. Until he does, the Chicago Bears will never be a great team

He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

Schumer and Jeffries have had ten months to prove to us that they were built for this moment. They have failed at almost every step thus far. Not only are they not worthy of leadership, they should both be primaried out of office.

My tour guide at Entebbe Botanical Gardens told me it was his dream to come to the US. I became unexpectedly emotional and told him, “Not yet. You have to wait.” It hurt me to speak about my country that way, but it’s the truth. We are not a friendly nation to non-White people.

Again, to my fellow Jews who have sidled up next to the Right in an attempt to punish a few stupid college kids, are you happy with your choice of friends? Which makes you feel less safe, a college student calling out the horrific war crimes of a country you visited when you were 16, or this?
There’s no daylight between what Candace says here about “the Jews” & what Nazi propagandists & Father Coughlin said about the Jews in the 1930s. Her show is one of the top 5 “conservative” podcasts in the US. She has 5.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 7.3 million followers on X.

I think it’s pretty cool that for our modern version of “Let them eat cake” we won’t have to go into an explanation about how it was in response to someone saying that people were protesting out in the streets because they couldn’t afford bread. And, maybe she never actually said that.
