Podcasters...If you're doing an episode on Vietnam and you have an actual veteran telling their experience of combat, please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't put a canned soundtrack of battle sounds in the background.

WTF is wrong with you?

Time to get #VichyDems trending again.
Yep. Don't give up the party apparatus, organization, etc to the Vichy Dems.

Kick THEM out.

They're the ones who suck, not us.
Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.

Resign, Vichy Chuck!
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

This. Most of what Trump threatened/did during the shutdown was shit he was going to do anyway.

But now he can just crow about his big victory and blame the Democrats for everything bad.
I don't believe for a second that furloughed employees will go back to work, or those fired will be rehired, or that anyone will receive backpay, or even that flights will go back to normal.

Hell, I don't even think they are going to pay out SNAP benefits.

OSCAR ISAAC, on whether he'd return to "Star Wars":

".. Yeah. I mean, I’d be open to it, although right now I’m not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great."

Oscar Isaac Was ‘Not So Open to Working With Disney’ After Jimmy Kimmel Suspension, Said He’d Return to ‘Star Wars’ if Disney Does ‘Not Succumb to Fascism’
Oscar Isaac was not open to working with Disney after Jimmy Kimmel's suspension and will only return to 'Star Wars' if the studio avoids fascism.

I guess I picked the right shirt to wear when I woke up this morning (before I knew about the Democrats’ day of infamy.)

Keep fighting, everyone!

Hard to find insurance if the insurance companies are literally losing money on every customer.

(Not that I’m here to stan for insurance companies in any way to be clear. Healthcare should not be in the hands of capitalism)

We can't even get a functioning government healthcare system. I see no way in which American politicians (or universities) would be able to make this happen.

(I totally support this idea, but, it seems like a fantasy. And I say this as an American academic working in UK academia.)
My little cousin in Belgium is paying a few hundred dollars a year for university

Americans, we could have this too, actually 😭

Man, I agree.

When I think about younger intolerant and very homophobic me and look at how far society has come, it's really amazing.

I am sure that we aren't all the way there for LGBT rights, etc, but the change from when I was a kid is seismic.

Just utter abject failure. Unbelievable.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Yep. He literally did the thing.

Not sure why this is even a scandal for the BBC.
It’s not something I’ve seen mentioned so far in all of this, but panorama implying that Trump was responsible for inciting Jan 6th puts it in the same category of the majority of the US senate. Quite why that isn’t worthy of a mention in response to the implication of radical left bias is strange.
November 10, 2025 at 10:56 AM
BBC (and its board) still don't realize that facts have a liberal bias.
The Panorama edit was clumsy. But the facts remain. It was a violent insurrection to upend a democratic vote. Looking at the wild outrage here, we’d be forgiven for thinking Jan 6th never happened. In terms of bias, this is off the scale worse. With Farage delighting in the damage.
