this defies parody. also helps explain why Sec Bessent bizarrely blamed immigrants when confronted with a question about high beef prices

The code is not complicated. Short bursts indicate an ICE sighting. Long whistles indicate agents making arrests. If you hear the whistle and you’re undocumented, you hide. And if you’re somebody who’s not, you go to the street.

As ICE Street Raids Ramp Up, New Yorkers Stock Up On Whistles
Taking a cue from Chicago, community groups have distributed thousands of whistles in recent weeks — a grassroots system people in other cities have adopted to help neighbors sound the alarm.

But somehow, cancer research is what they call wasteful spending. Absurd.
Trump's Pentagon name change could cost up to $2 billion
Officially changing the Department of Defense to the Department of War can only be done by Congress and would require updating thousands of signs, rewriting digital code and creating new letterheads,...

Yup. They need to be punished for what they tried to do. Make them squeal until they beg for a nationwide non-partisan redistricting system.
I don’t care what happens with the Texas legislative maps. Democrats should still gerrymander the shit out of blue states.

one thing i think is true is that republicans assumed that democrats would not respond in kind and that the forceful pushback spooked them (a lesson to learn here, perhaps)
Trump's corrupt scheme to rig 2026 is suddenly falling apart:

*Court strikes down Texas GOP gerrymander
*Indiana GOP lacks votes to redraw map
*Big Dem win in Virginia could give Ds more seats

Not one of these alders that voted no yesterday because of the corporate head tax has a progressive solution to replace it, & we must not tax the working class. I've cautioned for a carveout for grocery stores serving in areas of food apartheid in the city but otherwise strongly support the tax.
NEW — A point of contention in today’s finance committee meeting was Mayor Brandon Johnson’s proposed corporate head tax.

“These individuals are more interested in protecting… the largest corporations in our city, than protecting working people,” Johnson said.

The full count as of today:

YouTube suspended
Twitch banned 3x
Patreon suspended (temporary)
Patreon 3x audio flags (one false posi)
Ko-fi suspended (indefinite?)
Buy Me a Coffee suspended
Vice reporting censored
Pornhub censored 3x times
Fansly censored 1x
Is it really a conspiracy to say Ana is being explicitly flagged by finance bros when she's now been banned (or censored) from Twitch, Patreon, Buy Me A Coffee, Ko-Fi, and *PornHub*??
