Anyway. More games should be short stories! But that can’t happen unless we are accepting of that form - otherwise the form dies, replaced by longer forms that require more capital investment to make. Like happened in scifi. Guess who benefited from that

To be even more specific: An American company has made an offer to buy DigID, a Dutch-made authentication service for government services, and the government is scrambling to find a legal way to stop that impending national security nightmare
To give my American followers an idea where we're at in Europe: last night I watched an item on the main Dutch serious political analysis program about how some German local governments have fully switched away from Microsoft, and how the Dutch government should also decouple from American services

in any case I hope this is an eye opener for any folks who think having a lot of followers on social media (of any platform) must have it made. about 0.28% of my followers have bought and read my latest comic haha. sm is not NOTHING but it's also not that meaningful in the grand scheme of things
I wish people would stop telling me to "just self publish" 🥲 I do! here's what the last comic I self published netted me: months of work for 120 reads and a tiny bit more than one month's rent. I'm grateful of course to everyone who did read it!! but it's not an answer. it's just a way to spend time
