I have been arguing via email about this with city councilman and his arguments for are just. Not good. It basically boils down to "an alternative might take more time" which. Ok??? That's all you've got???

Anyway if you live in Oakland please feel free to yell about this. It sucks.

I don't think she's using the metric you assume, I think she's speaking from experience as a First Lady & reacting to the sum total of how America reacts to the idea of women having agency over their own bodies, finances, and futures. The stats on sexual assault, domestic violence, & femicide.
Personally, I think the idea that all women should be measured by the failures of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris is actually a sort of sexist doomerism.

Both male and female horses have eyelashes. Unicorns don't exist so this can't be scientifically verified. Valiant use of taxpayer money to micromanage the acceptable eyelash representation of fictional animals.
This is what "parents rights" looks like in TX: 1 mother decides what 8,292 students don't get access to read b/c she thinks boy unicorns shouldn't be pink or have eyelashes. *side note: the unicorn isn't pink, but he does have eyelashes. And to TX legislators: your bad laws are harming our kids.
