Jeffrey Epstein died on August 10th. In the Epstein files, there is what appears to be a draft DOJ press release announcing his death that is dated August 9th.

(It’s here: www.justice.gov/epstein/file...)
The release on Saturday, August 10th appears to have two differences. The date, and the addition of “of an apparent suicide” www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr...

As horrific as what is happening in the streets of Minnesota is, what is happening inside the concentration camps is so much worse. And yet Congressional Democratic leaders are completely silent about it. (Whereas rank and file Congressional Dems have drawn attention to it.)
NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.

“She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me.

But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.
Toddler hospitalized with respiratory failure was returned to ICE detention without prescribed medication, lawsuit says
The 18-month-old was sent back to a South Texas facility after days in intensive care with severe respiratory distress, according to a federal lawsuit.

ICE is fucking EVIL

Abolish ICE and DHS
TRIGGER WARNING, because here is a US Marshal from Trump‘s Gestapo Force in Memphis kicking a puppy today in the Whitehaven neighborhood and breaking its rib. They were serving a warrant and I guess BIG MAN got scared of the schnauzer.

This sort of smug, dismissive superiority from pundits - "oh, you were naive to think anything could be better" - is defeatist and lazy. There are a million different ways the world isn't the way it should be. That is an invitation for improvement! Use your platform to rally people for change!
This happens with*everything* now. No matter how grave the crime or one-dimensional the injustice, after four days the hivemind of American punditry decides that the Real Story is how the people upset about it are the real villains.

top schumering lately. his party's supporters want ICE abolished; he proposes ICE being reformed, & then those reforms are a bunch of half-measures like the agents not wearing masks, & then he waters that down until we land on the agents not wearing masks unless they say they have a reason. 10/10
Chuck Schumer says ICE should be allowed to wear masks in "unusual circumstances—you know, some guy's picture was put up by a terrorist group or something."

Check out this thread on how the West Seattle Bridge erased an entire neighborhood!
I'm going to work to recreate the Youngstown neighborhood before it was obliterated by the West Seattle bridge. Curious if folks have recommendations on resources, or perhaps pictures/info they can drop here?
Wow, Delridge Way sure looked a lot more pleasant before the West Seattle Bridge.

Even still, I'd be surprised if there were many people against the impacts caused by this car infrastructure then, like we are now with light rail. We're strange like that.

Bid limits—prohibiting local governments from performing their own work over a certain dollar value—are a form of privatization that increases the cost of government.
Our crew-built work is one big way that we’re delivering the Seattle Transportation Levy.

By using in-house construction crews, we complete improvements that you’ve requested with lower costs and faster timelines.

18 agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) markings smashed an apartment window, ran in, and came out with one man.

ICE is murdering them in the camps. They strangled Geraldo Campos to death.

Chuck, the words you’re looking for are “abolish and prosecute every single one of them.” ICE cannot be reformed.

Claw back the $75 billion or resign in disgrace.
Americans are outraged by what ICE has done to our communities.

Congressional Democrats are united in our plan to rein them in.

"This is the last chance to stop this disaster. There will be no further vehicles where Democrats will have any leverage before this election. We should stop it with an amendment that prohibits use of funds for any ICE of Border Patrol actions within x yards of a polling place on election day"
As Bannon’s plans make clear, Senator Dems need to prohibit ICE from suppressing the vote by placing ICE agents at polling places. open.substack.com/pub/meidasto...

People don’t get it. They’ve done the math and will be given quotas of how many democrat voters they need to temporary detain until polls close then release them. And even if it doesn’t work they’ll claim fraud occurred and will erase the results anyway. The country is gone

We've been aware of this for *more than 20 years*. The patent for cars powered by NiMH batteries was bought by Chevron in 2000, and they sat on it until it expired.

The patent only expired in 2019.

We only got electric cars because Li battery tech matured. Oil companies set EVs back 15 years!
