Saint Paul MN. Local politics. Clean energy. Bike/Ped/Transit. Women’s soccer. (He/Him)
Weird. Cause my vibe since hearing about this terrible deal has been the opposite. Huh.
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"

I really cannot imagine going to all the trouble of getting elected to the Senate only to get there and decide not to stand up for healthcare, or democracy, or people’s ability to afford their lives. If those things aren’t worth fighting for, then truly what is?

Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

FWIW: Faded (by Dual Citizen) is easily our favorite THC seltzer and we've found it to be pretty consistent on THC levels, too.
3. Most underrated Minnesota perennial blossom: liatris
4. Second most: prairie smoke
5. Most overrated: there is no perennial blossom that’s overrated, flowers are a miracle
6. No THC beverage company currently in Minnesota has consistent THC in their products

“CVS has done nothing for years. The clock has run out.”

@mollycoleman.bsky.social absolutely hits the nail on the head, gets 7-0 vote to demolish CVS. This is a HUGE step for Midway & I’m so happy Molly is our CM!

FWIW: I do think having the DFL endorsement process (lots of problems with it, I know) has helped factions all compete in the same space & get on the same page in previous races. Without one, it definitely did leave a bit of a vacuum.

Game to do my part to get the Saint Paul DFL back up & running.
Day-old take on both Mpls & StP mayoral elections is that due to neither race having a formal DFL endorsement (for admittedly vastly different reasons) it allowed many folks to start making too-clever calculations about who to support & how, rather than simply getting on program with a plan to win.

Silly question but is anyone live posting from MPLS ballot allocation? Not seeing any of the tradition folks posting. Maybe it’s not started yet either.

Thank you to everyone who made this victory happen! This was an incredibly common sense change that will make Saint Paul better.
🧵🎉 We did it, St. Paul! This election, voters came together to overwhelmingly pass Administrative Citations.

⚖️ With this win, our city can hold corporate wrongdoers accountable, protect renters in their homes, and ensure workers get a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work.

Safe strategy for you: vote like Meg
🗳️ Went out and voted on my lunch break.
