I generally think whirlwind organizing is not meant to be long term organizing, but that what people do in the whirlwind creates possibilities for what they will do when it lessens. For Minneapolis, I think it’s very important that we realize that when we think people have stopped paying attention.

Finally, the Nazi bike lanes that were prophesied. #iykyk
This morning 5 ICE vehicles parked illegally in a bike lane and in MPD parking spots directly outside of City Hall. Myself and several other Council Members and city staff went outside to observe them and blew our whistles to alert people nearby. After about 45 minutes they left

I’ll let others chew through the substance of this Tolkkinen column but it’s a chance to remind you that Minnesota is a ONE-party consent state; you don’t need the other person’s permission to record. I’m surprised Tolkkinen was surprised she was being recorded. www.startribune.com/tolkkinen-i-...
Tolkkinen: I met my rural GOP legislator. I didn’t realize he was recording me.

Makes me sick to think people are so scared of being stopped in their cars that they’re keeping their titles there. The car is the worst place to keep your title.

Would guess a) fundraising & b) word-of-mouth. 27% of Hennepin County voters chose Trump in 2024. Atty is a nonpartisan election, so that’s almost enough to make the general election & over half what you need to win it. A little less wink-wink but of same strategy that helped Frey prevail in 2025.
why did anders folk speak to the washington county republicans yesterday at their monthly candidate forum? he is running for hennepin county attorney and seeking the DFL nomination

MN k-12 funding is NOT directly tied to attendance, the Strib has at least 2 education reporters (not on this article) who (should) know this, and they should correct this article. 🧵

Buckle up for a little MN K-12 school finance lesson. /1

As amazing as this is, the power situation is absolutely fucking dire and has been a central issue for years now.

Privatized power, brought to you by the conservative government in PR, has been failing people for years, with insane bills and rolling blackouts.

I don’t know if that’s the case for Walz but if it is… well you might like that reality even less than this one.
