DOGE took away Adobe Acrobat from Fed workers, causing mass inefficiencies.
Five years ago today, I was working in a Congressional office when the U.S. Capitol was attacked. I was safely back in the district while my boss was preparing to be sworn in—before being rushed away by security. Violent insurgents halted the peaceful transfer of power.

Interestingly, it appears Frey did not want anyone from the Chamber of Commerce involved in his inauguration this time? Four years ago, he tapped none other than Jonathan Weinhagen to kick off the program.
The City-wide inauguration is happening now at Pantages Theater, including the City Council, Board of Estimate and Taxation, Park & Rec Board, and the mayor.

Minnesota Statute 202A.18 Subd. 2a (“Preference ballot for governor”) requires that when the governor is on the general election ballot, caucuses must distribute a ballot permitting caucus participants to show their preference for governor before nominations for delegate/leader elections begin.

Look, you can read Walz leaving as a triumph for the MAGA hatefluencers, but I prefer to think of it as overdue recognition that the DFL has a lot of good future governors, it’s good to keep fresh blood circulating, and two terms was enough. What seems “safe” often isn’t.

Walz prominently displays the new Minnesota flag as he gives his speech - the result of a bill he signed.

Spot on. By the way, my baby boomer Duluth mom loves her.
She's the political version of some sort of CBS NCIS show that you think is terrible but it keeps pulling in good ratings and is in its 16th season.

Tim Walz is a remarkable leader, and Minnesota has benefitted immensely from the compassion he brought to his decades of public service.

I don't like the appearance that the White House forced Walz out. The post about a Hortman conspiracy was vile.

The fact remains, Walz never should have announced for reelection. Feeding our Future was always a political time bomb. This was entirely avoidable.

It would not be very Klobuchar-like for her to resign from the Senate now to run for Governor. The upside is that it would give Walz a Senate Seat to appoint now, but she would risk having no office at all if she loses the Governor's race (as unlikely as that is). Risk-taking is not her MO.

Walz dropping out is good news for Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan's bid for U.S. Senate. A more active primary with a higher turnout is good. There was also an awkward scenario in which Flanagan earns the DFL endorsement, but Walz prevents Carlbaum from spending party resources on Peggy, the endorsee.

Klobuchar wants to be Gov, in part, to prevent AG Ellison from potentially winning the primary.

The Democratic party seems to fear open primaries. As a party in opposition to authoritarianism, we must model democracy and have faith in the people. Instead, elite Democratic leaders fear the people and are afraid of the choices they may make.

Regardless of how large his brain may or may not be -Minnesota takes up a lot of space in this man’s mind.
Trump did it again. This is his 2nd post pushing a conspiracy that Governor Tim Walz had Melissa Hortman murdered in her own home.

Absolutely disgusting.

Joe Marble‘s buddy. Of course. The clueless bungling Resource Party duo. www.startribune.com/who-is-david...

I stand corrected on him being LE. He’s just a quack. With a track record of being a clown.

Has anyone figured out yet who the person named David in the Shirley video is?

I suspect he’s former law enforcement. It would be good to know what agency once professionally platformed his genius detective skills.

The Walz Administration will not get credit from the GOP for using this big AI program to stop payments; they will not find more fraud; they will hurt lots of people. It's a technocratic centrist trifecta.
Why are they us AI? The shit simply doesn't work! The system was working. Fraud was being prosecuted, liars in jail, money recovered... fucking hell this pisses me off
