Exactly this
The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

If there’s a problem with your ballot, your vote can still be counted. The deadline is 4:30 p.m. Nov. 24. And this election, it might matter more than in most.
What is ballot ‘curing’ and why does it matter in Seattle this year?

Here is the main reason I’d be a bit wary of calling the Seattle mayor’s race just yet.

In the 2017 race (Durkan v Moon), Durkan’s numbers got steadily worse, except for a sudden and brief reversal when there were about 7,000 votes left to count.

Amid the ongoing government shutdown, the FAA has ordered Sea-Tac airport to reduce commercial flights and ban private jets to ease the burden on air traffic controllers.

Under Schumer's leadership, eight Democrats (Cortez Masto, Durbin, Fetterman, Hassan, Kaine, King, Rosen, & Shaheen) joined the Republicans in moving forward a bill to reopen the government without ACA subsidies—Dems' stated key aim—or any other real concessions from the status before the shutdown.

By proportion of the total vote, this race is even closer than when Lisa Herbold beat Shannon Braddock by 39 votes in 2015. That was 0.1% of the vote separating them; this one is currently .03% of the vote.

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

i was def wrong about her building on her primary lead, i failed to factor in the relentless sleazy personal attacks made on her by Bruce's $2M corporate PAC run by his deputy mayor. (The first person out the door in the Wilson admin should be Ethics & Elections chair Wayne Barnett)

New: Katie Wilson has taken the lead over Bruce Harrell by just 91 votes. Not enough for anyone to declare victory or concede defeat, but it likely makes her the favorite with roughly 6400 ballots left.

well, Katie got every single Democratic LD's endorsement, just not all the fence-straddling, influence peddling marquee names who should DEF know better (and who all personally dislike Bruce because he's a transactional douche)

Monday drop.

WILSON LEADS FOR THE FIRST TIME ALL ELECTION!

It's neck and neck heading into the final count! She leads by 91 votes!

Only about 10,000 ballots remain, per reporting from @kromandavid.bsky.social. Cured ballots from the weekend will be counted tomorrow.
