On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Rob Saka posted a Seahawks victory parade montage and it got zero likes (most of his posts have zero likes because no one likes him)

Martin Selig, ICE's landlord in Seattle, who fled Nazi Germany as a child in 1939, refused to stop renting to Trump's Gestapo. Now 19 of his downtown properties are in receivership including the one that housed ICE, he's defaulted on almost a billion in debt. Biblical fates await ICE collaborators.
NEW: ICE has a plan to lease offices across the US as part of a secret, months-long expansion campaign.

Today, @wired.com is publishing dozens of those locations. Many are near schools, medical offices, and places of worship.

Vital work from @leahfeiger.bsky.social that I'm proud to publish.

A landlord who's flinchy on new progressive taxes BUT against the surveillance cameras & SODA/SOAP zones. If this is what the *center* lane is looking like, Sara Nelson's smash-n-grab spree really put the next wave of law&order moderates in a shitty spot (so far it's gotta be Jenks btw)
Julie Kang is running for the open seat in District 5, and is the first candidate in the race to qualify for democracy vouchers. An educator and bank founder, Kang espoused a mix of centrist and progressive views in her interview with The Urbanist.

Hahaha
it would be hilarious if all the Seattle teams start winning championships now that Mayor Big Sports Guy is out of office. (if the Sonics came back I think he'd have an aneurysm)

"worse than being in Afghanistan" lol
The truth about Jody Allen owner of the #Seahawks. A little bit of fact checking, is all it takes people. Yeah, turns out most rich fucks have skeletons in their closet. Her brother is even worse.

Stop thinking she's some kind of saint.

In our Democratic trifecta state, 2 former Dem governors (Locke & Gregoire) endorsed a Republican for Seattle city attorney, Ann Davison, who switched to GOP & urged ppl to leave the Democratic party in *2020*. Wealthy Democrats hate homeless people more than Republicans exhibit 12927
hatred of unhoused people is genuinely a pipeline to fascism. if the wealthy can get you to dehumanize your own neighbors, then they can get you to do it to anyone.

I'm totally serious. It's rare to have such an egregious symbol of self-dealing, narcissism and short-sightedness in actual physical form. To announce your campaign upon it will explain everything anyone would need to know about why Rob's gotta go in one succinct visual image. DO IT
Whatever D1 candidate makes their campaign kickoff announcement standing astride Curby will win by at least 20 points
