Unfortunately getting Barnett out is circuitous. The SEEC executive director is chosen by the SEEC, which is compromised, sorry, comprised of three people selected by the mayor, three from the council, and the last by the SEEC itself. One position is vacant atm and a mayoral appt expires next month.

2500 more people voted against Kshama's recall in a *December special election* than voted to elect Hollingsworth in a general.

If Wilson is within 5 points of 50 tonight it's over. She could even build on her primary lead. I think ppl are sick of Bruce's shit: "Now is not the time for hope" smdh. Oh and I saw a green haired person walking away from the ballot drop today so that's good luck

I hope every elected Dem politician who automatically endorsed Harrell before he even had a credible challenger takes a moment to reflect on these results. Harrell was still sending out mailers with Pramila Jayapal's picture on them right up til election day despite the fact she later dual-endorsed

JUST IN: Washington's Growth Management Hearings Board has invalidated the Seattle City Council's ordinance legalizing housing in a small slice of SoDo near the sports stadiums, siding with the Port of Seattle in its appeal against the move.

Beacon Hill News with Dan Hurwitz is one of the hands-down Union favorite segments and it's been a while since we've had one. Also Juno is one of our perennials. And Burl is gonna be enlist the audience in creating a backstory for his almost-stepson's stuffed dragon. This'll be a good one.
Joketellers Union is BACK this coming Wednesday. We've got JUNO MEN plus the glorious return of BEACON HILL NEWS WITH DAN HURWITZ, along with Burl and @emmettmontgomery.bsky.social and all the Union Traditions!
