The SEEC executive director is chosen by the SEEC, which is compromised, sorry, comprised of three people selected by the mayor, three from the council, and the last by the SEEC itself. One position is vacant atm and a mayoral appt expires next month.

but srsly my point is i knew she had it on election night and i haven't sweated it all week, i'm only telling you this now to be insufferable :)

i was def wrong about her building on her primary lead, i failed to factor in the relentless sleazy personal attacks made on her by Bruce's $2M corporate PAC run by his deputy mayor. (The first person out the door in the Wilson admin should be Ethics & Elections chair Wayne Barnett)

well, Katie got every single Democratic LD's endorsement, just not all the fence-straddling, influence peddling marquee names who should DEF know better (and who all personally dislike Bruce because he's a transactional douche)

maybe so but the Port is never gonna back down on this and it was mostly just a quick & dirty way for Nelson to make it look like she cared about building housing in an election year (despite throttling upzoning throughout the city) while servicing a wealthy donor
