It's really great to get called a cosplayer by people who've never organized anything.

Y'all... I'm autistic and have PTSD. Please, show up and cause me sensory issues and trigger my anxiety responses if it's going to keep government goons from taking me to a concentration camp. Please, by all means, do.

Like... do WHATEVER you have to do, please.
Ugh. The main anti-ICE group in Washington which has 44k followers on Facebook and has been going around to communities promoting classes is now promoting this anti-whistle nonsense for "harm reduction" reasons as well.

Yet again admitting that they're fine with unnecessary harm.

These people want martyrs, not organizing.
yeah as I said, cowardice.

The goal posts have moved from "no one is harmed" to "you should be fine.with being harmed"
then your job is to take the charge
The people on the front lines are just protesting, which is constitutionally protected 1st amendment stuff. The ‘decision makers’ (ie receiving and passing on locations of ice agents etc) could be indicted, rightly or wrongly, for obstruction and seditious conspiracy. FBI has already come to

When you get to a point as a white dude with a huge following where you are logging into an alt so you can screenshot a woman critic who has blocked you, at a point when she is now studiously avoiding even use of your name...

It is time for some self-reflection.

It's also not unique to this moment for people who are brand new to believe they have it all figured out, or for onlookers to believe the same. That part of the equation rhymes with a whole lot of history, and people who stick around long enough learn that they don't know what they don't know.
February 3, 2026 at 5:11 PM
It's honestly exhausting to have the exact same arguments about organizing for 25 years with newbies and see them make the exact same mistakes every damn time.

Generally I have a hard time getting mad about this line, because in some ways that impatience is what keeps movement from getting too complacent and institutionalized.

But it is a bit rich seeing it applied in service of the dude currently posting through getting booted from the Doing Stuff club
I like when they do the "I don't see any results" pivot because like, your golden boy didn't get any results either. two people murdered since he started driving around and zero people after he got kicked out the chats maybe he's actually getting people murdered. Who's to say?

No connection with bike shops that have photos of them posing with cops.
Before the Alex Pretti Memorial Ride we received this email:

"This has nothing to do with cycling. Please focus on cycling-related political activism."

If bikes aren't political why do we keep finding ourselves talking to politicians so often to have safe streets?

The successful nonviolence and civil rights movements of the past, as I’ve gathered from reading about them, ALSO featured a shit ton of incessant petty drama and in-fighting.

But crucially, they didn’t have social media - so this was kept far more private.

I know a lot of folks think that any time people get into it about this sort of discourse it is a clout game.

But please hear me when I say that trying to disingenuously redefine "legal observer" to mean "guy who records crime he disapproves of" endangers people, including actual legal observers.
I should not have to say this but if you are a legal observer your job is not to go snitch on any and all illegal things.

Your job is SPECIFICALLY AND EXCLUSIVELY to record law enforcement brutality, illegality, and overreach.

It is ABSOLUTELY NOT to snitch on protests you find too spicy.

How many people have disappeared out of Wil's signal groups and he just doesn't notice?
No one has been able to identify someone who was harmed because their opsec was bad. I am literally unaware of a single instance. It’s a fake concern here.

The funny part of this is that Will, and probably others, seem to think that they have new insights when they absolutely don't. What you are building isn't a sustainable movement and we will see why quite shortly.
If you read under a lot of the these claims, it’s the same thing: “Ignore the newcomers, they have no insights, pay attention to us instead.” Most of them don’t even live here. They are DESPERATE to remove the challengers, even if it means MN anti-ICE activists have to be expelled as threats.

The only way this isn't completely stupid is if they support fascism.

They're going to fund ICE for "concessions" that are already the rules and then ICE will just keep breaking the rules.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

You know my name. You know where I live because your agents tailed me home twice. I spent 5 hours today following them and will spend 5 hours tomorrow. Come put me on TV so I can tell the whole world what I’ve seen you do to my neighbors.
