I should be able to go to one of these to watch the big game.
Coming in at 6,000 seats—roughly one-third the size of its 18,600-seat Las Vegas predecessor—a smaller-scale Sphere is being proposed for National Harbor in Prince George’s County.

A new proposal could bring Vegas-style spectacle to Maryland’s National Harbor.

I remember reading a few years ago how San Francisco’s restaurant industry was fucked because all the tech firms were hiring all the chefs. These people provide nothing to their community and they’ll be run out of town on a rail

His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. It’s not just Trump that the world has to worry about, it’s a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him

Greenland is not for sale, why are you accepting the premise that it is
Renaming the Department of Defense would cost taxpayers $125 million. Buying Greenland would cost $700 billion. Donald Trump just gave another $75 billion to ICE. They really don’t care about wasting your taxpayer dollars.

I have been told that this undercover ICE agent tried to get observers to scan a QR code “for his website”. The QR code did not resolve to a link.

DO NOT SCAN UNKNOWN QR CODES FROM STRANGERS.

This is a massive security risk! Bad things can happen to you if you do it!

Stay frosty, friends.
Every day some story breaks me some. Today it’s the guy who approached parents at a school patrol, told them he was with Indivisible, and asked about how the patrol system works. The parents gave vague answers, followed him back to his car — and of course it was ICE.

Favorably comparing the United States to Germany in 1940
Trump: "No nation is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the US. We're a great power. Much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out 2 weeks ago in Venezuela. We saw this in World War 2 when Denmark fell to Germany after just 6 hours of fighting."

It's understandable as Chicago is a small Midwestern town that can't have a payroll as high as Cincinnati
but yeah it's the Dodgers' payroll that's bad for baseball www.fangraphs.com/roster-resou...

Every time cops talk, they're lying
Thinking today about the white woman I represented who was charged with something she didn't do. The cop testilied, and she freaked out saying that it was impossible for a cop to not tell the truth because that was illegal. When I told her that it happened all the time,

The cops can lie to you.

It is not illegal for the cops to lie to you.

The same judicial branch that says it isn't a cop's job to save you from imminent harm or death from criminal violence says they can lie to you to get you to confess.

Perjury is illegal, but how often are cops charged?

oh no, you're telling some of those that work forces...are the same that burn crosses?
Federal agents are pulling over off duty cops based on the color of their skin.

This is not a serious operation to enforce immigration law. It’s a performative show of force and it’s gotten way out of hand.

i don't understand why so many people are so adamant that what ICE is doing is not the same as law enforcement. i disagree and i think a lot of the arguments ring very hollow, but more to the point: what's behind the desperate need to protect police legitimacy right now?
