Another road safety project is made less safety after a wealthy and influential family hired professional lobbyists and met with the Mayors Office and DOTI.

They did it again. They have shown they will continue to do it over and over. Direct fire at the mayor and his appointed executive

Frontline DOTI people are trying to do good and their leaders continue to fail them and the city
We are incredibly disappointed DOTI and the Mayor caved into the interest of a wealthy Denver family for the Alameda safety project, yet again following their pattern of watering down road safety projects when people with connections complain.

On this Election Day, remember:

Opposition to public #transit is motivated by industries and investors who win when we’re dependent on cars.

The reason is simple: Reducing vehicle miles (#VMT) reduces statistical car sales and associated revenues.

During Tonight’s City Council budget meeting, tens of thousands of Denverites were not represented by their Council members because there were no breaks during the 4 hour meeting, and key votes were missed because council members had to step outside for breaks due to there being no recesses.

Last month at the DOTI Advisory Board meeting, Director Ford said on the record that the Alameda Road safety project was going ahead. Now, DOTI is flip flopping again and changing professionally designed safety improvements to accommodate a wealthy NIMBY that complained to the manager.

Broadway bike lane missed the letter by one vote, and CM Kashmann was absent from the workshop. Probably going to run the amendment anyway, we encourage folks to reach out to Council and show their support.
