The CO 7 Coalition will deliver a people-first transportation corridor with regional Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), a regional bikeway, pedestrian improvements, safety improvements, and first/last-mile connections for ~30 miles from Brighton to downtown #Boulder.

Following local government is hard.

The meetings and processes are just as wonky as at higher levels of government.

But local agencies have fewer resources to communicate and serious local policy rarely makes the news.

Nearly 25% of teachers in the Boulder Valley School District will stay home today to join the call to end the reign of terror from ICE.

Our kids will join them.

Thank you BVSD and teachers for standing up.

And to the families participating who have the means to do so.

Power outages cost more than we tend to think.

Businesses close, transportation systems and supply chains stall, refrigerated goods and medicines spoil, and residents’ health, safety, and wellbeing suffer.

Important new findings from @rockymtninst.bsky.social.

A most basic safeguard of American life is the ability to forecast our climate and weather.

Yet there is a serious movement to eliminate the nation’s top center to do just that.

A 2026 city council policy/programs update for Boulder, CO:

One of the main ways Boulder city council legislates is by meeting once every 2 years to create a short list of workplan priorities.

For 2026 it’s only a 1-year process as we transition to even year elections (good for turnout, yay!).

Nextdoor is right:

#Boulder should make bicycle security a priority.

One crucial step is to make it possible for riders to follow the city's own (and other experts' advice)—to lock your frame to a sturdy anchor.

To do that, we need an effort to retire the many racks around town that...

The last week in #Boulder — with multiple power outages, destructive winds, extreme fire danger, and continued lacking useful explanations from Xcel — was brutal.

Many residents, orgs, and businesses have suffered and are still suffering.

Much work is ahead.

What happened in Bondi is horrifying and hits hard in Boulder.

To target Jewish families celebrating Hanukkah is an act of hate that must be named clearly and rejected completely.

My heart is with the victims, their loved ones, and the Jewish community in Australia, in Boulder, and worldwide.

Know the diff btw that and an e-moto.

E-motos are electric motorcycles.

E-motos are overpowered and underoptimized for most commuting.

E-motos are illegal basically everywhere in #Boulder, bike paths to streets to trails.

It is unspeakably tragic.

On this Election Day, remember:

Opposition to public #transit is motivated by industries and investors who win when we’re dependent on cars.

The reason is simple: Reducing vehicle miles (#VMT) reduces statistical car sales and associated revenues.
