My neighborhood school collectively fundraised over $100,000 to support our neighbors with rent and bills this last month.

Now we need to do it all over again for March.

PLEASE HELP!

Every family we're working to keep housed & fed has elementary aged children.

it's always a good day to join @twincitiesdsa.org
Yesterday, after explaining how he rations his pancreas medication due to cost, my 80 y.o. dad proudly showed me the hi-vis vest he has for neighborhood patrol, and I became acutely aware of the rage I hold for all the actions/inaction that have led us here. So today I joined the @twincitiesdsa.org

Ironic, since Frey shouted “fuck” and got a bunch of national media interviews, but has done fuck-all since.
In the Skyway 20 minutes after an ice abduction, mayor Frey walks through the government center. A lady yells at him "what are you doing to stop this? Fuck you." He responds, "is that helpful?" With a smirk on his face.

We are doing our best to keep up with rent needs at our neighborhood school, but the needs are growing by the day.

We received $10,000 more in rent requests just this morning (all for overdue February rent).

Donate if you can and please share with your people!

When I started @mplscargobikelibrary.com last year I knew our bikes could be used to help our community.

I had NO idea they'd be helping neighbors in such dire circumstances.

ICE out, bikes in.

for @autostraddle.bsky.social, i wrote about how minnesota's queer-owned businesses (and queer folks in general) are standing up to ICE and defending their communities:
How Minnesota’s Queer-Owned Businesses Are Leading the Fight Against ICE
As the federal occupation continues, community members are committing themselves to standing up to the feds while supporting the state’s immigrant communities in any way possible.

Living in Minnesota right now feels like being in the emergency room. Literally everyone is suffering in different ways, even if it's "just" a badly twisted ankle rather than a kidney stone or a full-on heart attack. The staff are working as hard as they can but energy and resources are dwindling.

Council President Elliot Payne is showing real leadership every day.
We’re never going to turn our backs on our neighbors and stop exercising our constitutional rights. No amount of meetings with Tom Homan or anyone in the Trump administration will change our community’s resolve.

This only ends when every DHS agent leaves and they no longer exist to terrorize us.

Federal agents in Uptown this morning. (Whistles and honking in video)
Federal agents abducted two people in Uptown, Minneapolis this morning at 6:45am. Boxed in their car in the middle of a major commercial street (Lagoon) and smashed out their window.

So I think everyone knows what Chuck E. Cheese is but for non-parents who don't know what LifeTouch is, it's the company that for decades has had a near-monopoly on school pictures.
Finding out that top execs from both LifeTouch and Chuck E. Cheese are in the Epstein files has pissed me off in a way that I didn’t think was still possible.

I’m begging media to not use propaganda (“immigration crackdown”) as truth. You’ve interviewed the people here with authorization (green cards, work permits, asylum applications) and the citizens of color who have been targeted by ICE. You know it’s isn’t an “immigration crackdown.”
Twin Cities home builders are falling behind schedule as the federal immigration crackdown in Minnesota has fueled a shortage of roofing, drywall and other construction workers, according to developers and real estate agents.
Twin Cities immigration crackdown delays home construction, slows real estate market
As immigrant workers move or stay home, a shortage of workers in the trades also is affecting the existing home market and rental owners.

Finally, the Nazi bike lanes that were prophesied. #iykyk
This morning 5 ICE vehicles parked illegally in a bike lane and in MPD parking spots directly outside of City Hall. Myself and several other Council Members and city staff went outside to observe them and blew our whistles to alert people nearby. After about 45 minutes they left

It’s day 70 of the ICE occupation of MSP.

ICE continues to terrorize our neighbors, there are still 2,000 agents here, even as the attention of the world has moved on.

When we say ICE OUT, we mean ICE out everywhere.
