Our broken child care system can learn a lot from New Mexico - the state that is leading the way in guaranteeing free child care for all.

There is no better rate of return than investing in our children.

The rest of the country should follow New Mexico’s lead.

I don’t know how I missed this, but every tech person should get this instinctively.

What do we do when network traffic is overwhelming our systems? We block the source.

Shouldn’t cities do the same?
Car traffic is a DDoS attack on cities.

Did you know that school districts often do school shooter training while the local police force does not?

Almost like we just make kids do this stuff so we can pretend we care
As everyone knows, road safety starts with kids and reflective vests.

It’s bonkers that kids are positioned as the first line of defense in the War on Cars.

Yesterday and today, neighbors rallied to protect churches celebrating Christmas services.

Separately, neighbors engaged in mutual aid delivered food, Christmas presents, and support to neighbors afraid to leave their homes

Tomorrow, we’ll do it all again.

It’s day 25 of the ICE invasion of the Twin Cities.

The surge continues in the Twin Cities with very high activity from ICE- and also incredibly high activity from rapid responders.

Hundreds of neighbors patrolled today all over the Twin Cities to keep their neighbors safe.

Flying on Christmas Day is so chill.

The airport was calm with virtually no lines for security, etc. and our flight has a bunch of empty seats.

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 This year feels different. My heart is with all the families who are living in fear, who have been torn apart, and have to celebrate differently. One day things will be better. 1/

As we weather this, we’re reminding folks to check on vulnerable neighbors.

To keep whistles handy and be ready.

To plug into hyper local rapid response groups and mutual aid.

And to remember we are in this for the long run, so to step away when you need m a break, and know others will step up.

It’s Day 23 of the ICE invasion of MSP.

Today we again saw increased activity- further evidence of the surge.

Tonight we know neighbors are keeping watch - at church services and apartment buildings, businesses and in neighborhoods across the metro.

Together, we keep our community safe.

We fostered this dog (Loki) for a couple months a few years ago and wanted to adopt him, but couldn’t due to some issues we learned about our resident dog at the time.

Luckily my in-laws adopted Loki and now we get to see him whenever we visit them.

He’s so good with the kids. ❤️

The strib is reporting Woodbury officials were not aware of a planned ICE facility. This means there’s no real plan and ample time to throw sand in the gears. Contact your city council in Woodbury. Get on the phone every day. Go to every zoning meeting. Start now. When it comes up you’ll be ready
