If you have a parent or loved ones/friends on Facebook (particularly if they overuse it), check in on what they’re seeing often because, whew. That place is little more than a slop shop these days, and I have to make a lot of corrections to things my parents have seen.

[Long, deep sigh]

Well, at least these temperatures will kill some of the Emerald Ash Borer larvae and help my tree...

I mean, if the tree doesn't explode first...

Please help us bring Liam Adrian Cornejo Ramos (he’s only 5 years of age and is currently in pre-K. Yesterday, he and his father were kidnapped by ICE. This will help the family with legal services to help reunite Liam and his dad with their family.

Not sure what the mechanism is, but the next Democratic administration needs to pay reparations to Minneapolis, St. Paul, and every other city illegally brutalized by these gangsters. Just like $3 billion to Minneapolis for a city sovereign wealth fund. Straightforward matter of justice

@dfl.org - come get your girl. This is fucking shameful.
I joined agriculture leaders from across the state today in Mankato for the Minnesota Ag Expo. Minnesota farmers are the backbone of our economy, and we must ensure they have what they need to thrive—strong markets and stable trade policies.

Our congressional leaders’ insistence on carrying out politics as usual right now may be the most disgusting display of obliviousness I’ve ever seen.

For the last few days I've struggled to articulate a thought I've been having. Turns out, @lilywrites.bsky.social was writing exactly what I wanted to say (with much more eloquence than I can muster). I'm not from here & I've lived many places, but I suddenly can’t imagine ever living anywhere else.

And suddenly back to being exactly how it was before - barely a breeze and maybe even some sun peaking through. Guess Mother Nature is just going through it like the rest of us.
Hard to capture, but the weather just took a real turn over here - very briefly had near whiteout conditions. Be (extra) safe out there.

Need a quick hit of much-needed mirthful laughter? Buy a ticket to a movie this weekend at one of our many wonderful local theaters for ANYTHING but Mercy.
I hate Chris Pratt so much that I’ve bought tickets for competing films on opening weekends with no intention of actually going. I’m just in it for the love of the disdain.

So this is becoming an actual widespread problem as more people are keeping their kids home and more districts are going optionally distant.

I dunno the solution but its probably going to disproportionately affect women again.
Way down on the list of things but it occurred to me that with Minneapolis schools going optionally distant and a lot of parents likely taking that option because of ice, how does that square with rto mandates I wonder

A lot of people are going to spend this decade trying to convince you to put your ID on the device you carry in your pocket and they're all wrong and you should tell them so loudly.

Just an important reminder that does not necessarily have anything to do with anything particular happening in Minnesota this week.

Side question for distraction: Were the mid-90s the height of Rice Krispie treat popularity? Or was it just that I was their target demographic at that time…

Anyone else have a reactive, high-energy pet who can’t take their regular long walks ATM & responds to every noise? 😭 Hide & seek with treats hidden around a room/in a pile of towels has been helpful. This toy is also a godsend - www.chewy.com/yve-life-aut... But he’s tiring of these games fast 😅

Question for Minneapolis/St. Paul/MN people: For those of you with older family members in the area who may not be able to get out and protest safely right now, or aren't going to be downloading Signal - any suggestions for ways they can participate in the community effort?

Personally, I'm trying not to judge the places that aren't on this list, because I know everyone's struggling and helping in their own ways and we just don't know all the circumstances.

But I am using this list as a resource for where I SHOULD spend my dining-out dollars in the near future.
