HIGH ALERT! We need people patrolling the streets now. Lake Street, Powderhorn, Central, and South Minneapolis have a ton of immigration enforcement. On bus stops to people being pulled from their cars. 1/

Jason has been at every single call for responders I’ve been to. He was on the RR call when I joined at 6 AM and again when I joined at 7 PM. He is doing so much for the people of Ward 9 and the people of Minneapolis and I am so lucky to have him as my city counselor. Please help his family!
One of my uncles was kidnapped by ICE yesterday. He was always there for my family and even helped my family afford my graduation party when I graduated college. 💔

Anything helps. ICE has no humanity. Hard workers literally being torn from their families.

Jason’s uncle was kidnapped by ICE on the same day that Jason was inaugurated to his third term on Minneapolis City Council.
Please donate and share. Jason does so much for our community and it’s time for us to give back.

Kristi Noem has been spotted in Minnesota. Her presence is not welcomed by our neighbors. In Minnesota, we love our immigrant neighbors. And our community will continue to patrol our neighborhoods and defend the rights of our immigrant community. 1/

Proud to support @zaynabmmohamed.bsky.social! Let’s get her re-elected to the senate. She’s been a strong advocate for working families and small businesses, immigrant neighbors, and healthcare.
We've been through a lot lately, and it’s not over.

Extremism is knocking on our door, as YouTubers and federal agents. Schools and hospitals are slashed while Trump pardons crooks and gives handouts to billionaires.

Minnesotans know there’s only one way to weather a storm: you don’t do it alone.

Activity is really hot this morning on Lake Street and Powderhorn. There’s also confirmed ICE vehicles using Uber stickers. Please be careful. 1/

Good morning! We’re seeing a ton of immigration enforcement in South Minneapolis this morning with many neighbors reporting kidnappings by ICE.

I also wanted to let you know my concerns with the behavior of these ICE agents yesterday… 1/

CBS News is reporting that the Trump Administration has begun deploying hundreds of agents to Minneapolis (Minnesota). This is especially concerning with what we are feeling on the ground of increased immigration enforcement. 1/

Huge news today! That's right, at our Park Board meeting this Wednesday at 5pm I will introduce two resolutions. The first is to restart our Open Parkways work. The second would direct staff to reopen work on following the long range plan for the Uptown Mall Park!

Dear neighbor,

Please take precautions. Our neighbors are waking up to a ton of immigration enforcement across our communities and neighborhoods. Families are being separated. Please be safe.

We need folks to patrol our neighborhoods, give rides to neighbors, and to keep an eye out. 1/

Dear neighbor,

We’re only a few days into 2026, and this federal administration continues to tear families apart.

There’s been an uptick in ICE activity and immigration enforcement today in our neighborhoods. Including the staging of ICE at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center, … 1/

I’m teaming up with some fellow community members to place a big order with a restaurant that has seen its business disrupted by ICE presence on the south side. And what better way than to get food for neighbors in need?

Burritos are about $10 each- please donate to help us provide 50+ meals!

Dear Community—Happy New Years!

This evening, I was honored to be sworn in as your District 5 Park Board Commissioner. I’m also excited to co-chair the Administration and Finance Committee alongside Commissioner Forney.

Thank you to Commissioner @kayforparks.bsky.social for being the sole vote against the MPRB general counsel Brian Rice.

I’m proud to have voted for a champion of working people this past November.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has its first meeting of the term. Tucked in among the Commissioners taking their oaths and sorting out MPRB leadership and assignments is an agenda item to vote on a contract for the MPRB's general counsel. Brian Rice is almost certain to be selected.

2025 was a harrowing year in many respects; and the most professionally challenging one I've ever experienced.

But even with relentless attacks on our rights, care, and humanity - LGBTQ+ people are still here in Minnesota and we're finding ways to move forward and to even thrive.
