“Shocked”
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

Sure doesn’t feel like it was worth it to me.

will look deeper in the days and weeks ahead, but my quick run through the CVR seems to indicate that if DeWayne Davis made it to the final round over Fateh, he would have lost to Frey by 12,153 votes based on the ballots that were cast. Fateh lost by 8,346.

I definitely had the Democratic Party selling out in my bingo card.
Tonight was a very bad night.

Expel the yes votes from the party and cut off all their access to fundraising, then remove Schumer from leadership. Anything less is mealy-mouthed coward bullshit.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

I’ll be the only publicly out LGBTQIA+ person on the Minneapolis City Council next year.

I need a congresswoman who unapologetically pro-LGBTQIA+ (@ilhanmn.bsky.social).

NOT this candidate below who will have you confused if they will vote with democrats or republicans.

I guess I’ll caucus now.
latonya reeves on "Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality and Transgender Rights" for her CD5 run

another stunning victory for ilhan omar!

Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:

The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

I think Minneapolitans gravitate to this kind of analysis because it inoculates them from their cognitive dissonance, easy to blame the far left, but having Fateh as an option did not force anyone back in the arms of Frey.

Exactly. As if the Left prevented moderates from rallying around a candidate more aligned with their values. People are desperate to blame the Left to hide the fact that they could have had a different outcome and CHOSE this one.

It’s a big deal that @kayforparks.bsky.social, who is 24 years of age, won her race in District 5. She challenged the status quo and beat the sitting Vice-President of the Park Board. That is no small task. 1/

Thank you to District 5 for believing in our grassroots campaign that advocates for workers’ rights, environmental justice, expansion for youth programming, and the right for all to have equitable access to safe and healthy third spaces.

What I love most about Jason Chavez’ campaign is how they worked—and succeeded!—at increasing turnout.

They also spent resources on not just election literature, but on ensuring residents are armed w/info to protect ourselves and our neighbors in this terrifying era. One example of campaign lit:
