The spinach/meat pies are a family favorite. We also always get lots of garlic sauce to bring home. If you make ever hummus at home, this is one of the few places I've found that has fresh Lubin (homemade Lebanese yogurt) we add it to hummus to make it extra smooth + a bit tangy.

We got home and my cousins were like, "That walrus was hilarious! Sea lions are awesome!" while I found a quiet spot in a corner to contemplate the silent horror (and simultaneous excitement!) of witnessing an *actual* moving portrait.

Why am I like this? I can tell you exactly why: I attended the Sea World Spooky Kooky Castle show at a very formative age. They had a framed portrait prop that had moving eyes and that visual experience gorilla-glued itself to my psyche - both a blessing and a curse.

Another "feature" of our medical system that feels totally dysfunctional. This also reminded me I need to look into the MyChart push notification options for a couple of family members.

And because I can't ever let any 1 statement just *be*, I also need to add (goddamnit!) that I also *loved* those retail work days so much b/c I worked with a bunch of effortlessly hip Toledo kids. Toledoans have a jagged-edged coolness no one can imitate (try as you might, you corporate GHOULS!).

Thanks for sharing these experiences - I'm in graphic design & web dev, so my fields are probably more hostile to AI than most, ha. The error rate (scribe errors like the one you mentioned) are probably my main concern. As you said, that's always been a possibility - somehow this is more unsettling.

That said, there is a lot more $$ in Ohio than people consider. Wealthy legacy Republicans who vote R no matter what. I don't think they like JD much at all either, but if anyone will vote for him (and pay for local campaigns), they're probably the ones who will be first in line.

I grew up in Ohio. I know these voters. I don’t believe they like him though they’re probably his most sympathetic crowd. Part of Trump’s allure is the aspiration. JD can’t offer them the same excitement of entree into a gilded world - to them, he is the worst of both worlds: “uppity Appalachia”
