- purchase more bike shelters
- pay for bike repairs/maintenance, bike insurance &
- provide small stipends to help sustainably compensate the folks keeping our library running (in 2025 all work was volunteer).

When you move around primarily or exclusively by car, you may not see the evidence of car crashes around you:

When my family bought our @bunchbike.com this spring we were already using bikes (or walking) for the majority of our trips.
But the hauling capacity of this bike has helped us bike for even more trips that would have previously been made with our car (like moving this shelf).

But those of us who deeply care about climate change need to think more critically about which car trips we might be able to replace with walking, biking, rolling or transit.
Cars are very bad for our climate.

I just met someone who told me they refuse to go to a certain coffee shop bc their to go cups are plastic (not compostable).
And 2 mins later said they’d drive their car 1.5 mile from their home to check out some new bike infrastructure we were talking about bc “biking season is over.”

Parents of young kids know how challenging the logistics are of carpooling with your kids’ friends, with car seats, etc.
Cargo bikes take that stress away, *especially* bikes that can fit multiple kids.
