Ok, early morning boiler check after the overnight worry of smelling gas briefly - it's safe, we can use it!

Our wonderful gas safety engineer kindly fit us in before his holiday!

Hopefully this will be the start of a much needed positive trend.

Next stop: job application by the end of the day!

Decent people are boycotting Eurovision.
No pinkwashing or artswashing of genocide. Do not attend or watch Eurovision. Going along with the charade doesn't cut it. If it's worth booing it's worth boycotting.

I really wish that more of the response to the whole Greenland situation was "Greenland is already colonized and cannot gain anything from its colonial rule being switched from one malevolent racist nation to another."

Kalaallit, Inughuit and Tunumiit should be free, autonomous people.

Free bus travel for under 22s is just one step to help support those areas devastated by years of austerity.

KMPG analysis shows that for every £1 invested in bus services, we get an economic benefit ranging from £4.55 to £5.

Gov said social media ban would only affect 16 yr olds. But most Aussies are being asked to perform age verification and some platforms have also restricted the comms of 16-18 year olds. The social media ban has a chilling censorious affect beyond the ban and imposes a blanket of mass surveillance

A ban on social media for under 16s will just isolate kids. Especially queer. And it’s important that we shut down advocates of social media bans for children regardless of who they are. It’s uncomfortable but we need to gently and respectfully challenge the incredibly binary thinking being pushed.

The manufactured moral panic about social media is being used to create state surveillance mechanisms.

Even if you trust Labour to implement and operate something like this - which you shouldn't - do you want the Tories or Reform to inherit censorship tools like this?

Extremely dangerous.

Bad solution to a real problem.

- Will cut vulnerable youngsters off from friends & support networks.
- Will result in a large cohort of people even more ill-prepared for online arena which grown adults are patently failing to cope with
- Will not prevent bad actors finding ways to bully & abuse

As I've said before (to this prick in fact), considering the vast majority of child abuse is done by their family, if you want to cut off children's information and communication routes, I will assume it's purely so you can better abuse your child
