Musk talks about ancient aliens pseudoarchaeological junk, but it's not his only connection to the world of pseudoarchaeology - his racist and antisemitic grandfather, Joshua Haldeman, spent a lot of time in the 1950s searching for an allegedly grand lost city in the Kahalari desert.

This is true. Current capitalism cannot coexist with open and timely access to accurate information
LOL Epstein did not acquire his fortune "illicitly", it was perfectly legal and in fact a central feature of modern capitalism. I wrote about this exact thing a few months ago

This is, in so many contexts, a great challenging question.

“What’s the technical basis…?”
“What’s the physical mechanism that causes…?”
“What’s the evidence that…?”
“What is your technical basis for claiming 100 bricks/day is fine? Does brick age, size, shape, or condition matter?”

The answer as always is: power generators wanted more money. This is a state-sponsored rort.
One would think RNZ would do journalism, put two and two together and say:

"Hey, then why are the power companies raising costs if the dams are full?"

Best advice is to find the commercial version of the panel that you like, as it has the smart features for residential use largely disabled. Just an antenna and HDMI inputs. Plus you can annoy your family by turning on the advertising content "Paul Brislen says 'Switch off your 3G phone now'"

David Seymour to ban quantum mechanics as the Universe must be deterministic so that people know what things are, where they are and how fast they are travelling at all times
David Seymour to ban the use of the phrase “David Seymour”

We’re actually getting a bargain if the Law Commission President only gets paid $500k. 2000 hours per year for a 40-hour week, that’s $250/hour which is pretty shabby for a top lawyer these days.

Given that we still have an 81 on the perceptions of corruption index, there’s still plenty of room to move down!
The Government appointed ex National Party leader Judith Collins to lead the Law Commission without following good practice processes for such roles, writes RNZ acting political editor Craig McCulloch
