You know the energy we all give those doom posts?

I get that we share that stuff to keep each other informed, for an emotional outlet, to find community and to attempt to sense-make.

But it’s also very draining.

Let’s bring some of that same energy to positive actions and community creativity.

This is a fascinating read for anyone interested in movement building and communications.

A potted history of how the Green Party got to where they are now in 2025 with all this momentum.
The Inside Story of How the Green Party Turned Red | Novara Media
Zack Polanski’s smash-hit eco-populism might seem like a sudden gear-change for the Green party. In fact it’s part of a tectonic shift some of its members have been driving for more than a decade. Ada...

Thank you to those media outlets willing to cover positive Trans+ stories.

It won’t surprise you to know that despite Trans+ people endlessly featuring as a punching back in the mainstream media, once again our project fails to feature.

Not evidence on its own. But it does make you wonder.
This week we confirmed our 2026 dates: 4–10 May 2026, anchored by Trans+ History Day on 6 May, the anniversary of the 1933 Nazi raid on the world's first Trans+ clinic.

Trans+ people deserve to live, thrive, and belong in this country - without fear or barriers, and without being dehumanised, vilified, and treated as convenient political targets

📉 But new @yougov.co.uk / @goodlawproject.bsky.social polling exposes just how badly Britain is failing on this

Listen to your Aunty Marty 💁‍♀️
Marty nails it.

British media’s framing of “Trans issues”:

Problems supposedly caused by Trans+ people existing at all.

The reality of “Trans issues”:

The daily struggle of Trans+ people trying to live, love, survive, and thrive in a world that remains hostile

Glad to see this being called out
Thank you for commissioning polls showing what Trans+ people’s issues are rather than what we tend to get which is what other people’s issues are with Trans+ people.

More of this please 🙌🤓

70% of trans people believe BBC News is hostile. (And anyone who has listened to Justin Webb knows they are clearly right.) goodlaw.social/kyxv
Poll shows 70% of trans people think BBC News is ‘hostile’
The right wing claims the corporation is ‘pro-trans’, but the people at the sharp end of its coverage disagree. The BBC must stop its attack on trans people.

Emily Maitlis brags about her, Deb Cohen, and Hannah Barnes getting the Tavistock GIDS service shut down.

What she doesn't talk about is how Newsnight journalists manufactured outrage and concocted "scandals" based on unethical journalism - which they were called out for, but tried to hide...

A thought that I’m sure will be divisive but that I can’t seem to shake.

Perhaps with behind the scenes coordination Your Party could become a stalking horse for the Green Party. Test the waters on progressive policies, take heat in the media and absorb criticism. Generating insight.

This bit from 27mins in to the latest episode is referred to as the “trans issue” by John Sopel and the others.

It’s genuinely maddening that all these political talking heads flap about a right wing coup of the BBC but fail to see anti trans bias as part of that. Because it is bias they also hold.

I feel really uncomfortable with Brianna Ghey’s name being used to push ill-conceived “phone free education” policy.

A blanket ban can’t be the answer.
