This is how ingrained transphobia is.

Let’s imagine “trying to live under the radar” was said about queer people. Gay men. Lesbians. Bisexual people.

That all these noisy gays are making it more difficult for good quiet gays to live “under the radar.” To live closeted. For the comfort of others.
“Trying to live under the radar”

My transness isn’t something I should need to hide. I refuse to feel shame for something innate, usual and human.

Trans+ people living proudly as themselves is not what is causing our persecution.
On one side, you have trans people asking to be left alone and maintain our access to health care. On the other, a bunch of people who believe we shouldn't exist. But Cass believes both sides are the same.

This whole interview is atrocious.

Can I just say…

Being transgender is also a “normal variation” if we want to go there.

The content made by transgender creators that I often see on social media can be reduced down to a simple message: “it’s ok to be yourself”

The problem is society is hardening its response to diversity.
and then cass has the absolute nerve to go on the bbc and say shit like this

When I definitively transitioned in 79, I had enough backstory that I couldn't disappear unless I moved to another country. And I had tried that and it sucked.

I could not have had the moderately successful career I have had 'under the radar'.

We are not trusted to be the primary authors of our own lives
If you want to understand why the BBC's stance on trans rights - only platforming cis people (and only those with a sceptical perspective) - is so outrageous imagine if it only platformed men talking about women's rights (and only those with a sceptical perspective).

Here we see the dismantling of our rights. Toilet bans. Sports bans. The calculations and the dice rolls of everyday living. And the monstering of our community.

And yes, that is House Gryffindor in the toilet 🚽

Hi everyone. As you know, I am our trans rights lead at Good Law Project. I have been working alongside a fantastic team on our challenge since May last year. But whilst what we have achieved is significant - there is still a lot further to go.

If you can, please donate and help us keep fighting.

A vital piece of work 👇👇
📣 Today @felicitycallard.bsky.social and I have published the first peer-reviewed response to the 'Sullivan Review' of research and data on sex and gender.

The Review could threaten trans rights and inclusion, erode academic freedom, and undermine research quality.
