It's great to meet all theses amazing new people. I thought I would introduce myself with a little thread. I’m a Green Party activist and a Patient safety manager in the NHS. I’m married and we have two miniature schnauzers! I’m here mostly to chat about politics.

No one is asking Wes Streeting to be a commentator.

Asking him to be a government minister when the whole world can see Trump breaking international law whilst threatening Greenland next, and the Cabinet (with Nigel Farage) seems perfectly fine with it.
Wes Streeting is asked if Trump has broken international law when it comes to Venezuela. Streeting says he's got nothing to add and he's not here to be a commentator.

I mean, which idiot thinks politicians should answer questions when they're being interviewed in a TV studio!

So proud of Bristol's Green councillors delivering more affordable homes that Bristolians desperately need - Bristol is now the best council outside of London for building affordable homes. More to do but this is a brilliant start.

Bristol smashed affordable homes records in 2025
In the first half of the year, 286 affordable homes were completed - 54 of which were built by the council

Of course Maduro's repressive regime must be held accountable - but the US's unilateral attack on Venezuela is not about democracy. It is about oil imperialism.

The UK must stop pandering to Donald Trump and roundly condemn the illegal action taken by the US.

Why can’t we solve homelessness not just when it’s cold? Also, Streetlink is a very imperfect system, working with homeless people they find it extremely unhelpful and often outreach workers can’t find them
This is literally saving lives - and we can save even more with your help.

I have a revolutionary idea:

Work out how many doctors and nurses we need to look after everyone properly.
Train that many.
Pay them well.
Let them get on with their jobs.

All three people on the Sky News review use the word 'kidnap' to describe what the US has done (although the host remembers to add the words "if you see it that way").

Unlike over on the BBC, where people are under strict instructions not to use that word.

Ed is a positive and informative presence on this platform!

He did such great work during the green party leadership campaign devoting time and care to dozens of filmed interviews.

Could see he offered each candidate parity of esteem whatever their profile.

Seven years is it?

Magnificent!!👏

If I were the president of a country, I think I'd skip watching my national team live in the World Cup this time.

I'm seven years sober today.
I used to drink alcohol everyday. Often up to drink 3 bottles of wine by myself. I had panic attacks when I wasn't drinking.

Around 11 years ago my oldest brother lost his battle with alcoholism which led to me drinking even more.

I've now been sober for 6 years today.

The thing about the Maduro kidnapping was that Donald Trump thought that Venezuela would just fall apart.

Instead the Vice President has been sworn in as President and business continues as normal.

The US is hated by 92% of Venezuelan's they will not accept a US puppet.

But NATO is already dead, the USA will not defend anybody else, and they have already stated this many times.

Imperialism (noun): a policy of extending a country's power and influence through colonisation, use of military force, or other means.

It's clear what Trump is doing.

Yet our Labour government refuse to defend international law and condemn the illegal actions of a rogue state.

Five days into the Government's 'strong start to January.' Day 1 blame the voters. Day 2, blame the civil service. Days 3-5, ignore international law.

Voters & civil service didn't make a Labour government cut winter fuel payments & refuse a wealth tax.

On BBC News today: striking that it’s the two old establishment parties - Labour and the Conservatives - refusing to condemn the US breaking international law and doing what it wants.

Feels like politics stuck in the past, while the public has clearly moved on.

Darren Jones saying repeatedly the Labour Government won't comment on a hypothetical.

It's not hypothetical - Trump is saying very loudly repeatedly what he's done and boasting about it.

And yet the UK Government won't even say it's a breach of international rules. Shameful.
