Just being me, as that's the only way to be.

Left because I believe in kindness and decency. Will never, ever support Labour again after the horror they've unleashed. They're an evil, far-right party.

I've just used Good Law Project's tool to email MPs on the Council of Europe and let them know they don’t have to bend down to Sex Matter’s transphobic threats.
The more they hear from us, the harder it’ll be for them to ignore us. goodlaw.social/9f10d1
Stop Sex Matters infiltrating the Council of Europe
In just one week, the Council of Europe will be voting to ban conversion therapy. This would be an incredibly important step to stop the rollback in the rights of LGBTQ+ people. But Sex Matters is inf...

I've lost my faith in politics & the future.

Exactly. Haidt's ideas amount to, "Strip children of their rights and freedoms because FEAR," and our politics is almost entirely about fear and moral panic at this point. This isn't just the worst government we've had but the worst Parliament, and the obsession with fear and moral panic is why.

Great piece on “airport book brain” - the tendency of politicians to swallow simplistic solutions. Latest example the Jonathan Haidt book shaping policy on teens and social media

So having been lied to, the BBC won't be inviting him back again will they?

Will they??

A lot has happened recently on the EHRC’s proposed bathroom ban but they're still trying to exclude trans people from public life. The EHRC aren’t changing course, and we have to keep the pressure up.

Labour cancelling 29 local elections to keep losses to a minimum and hopefully keep Keir Starmer in place is disgusting and anti-democratic. Starmer out!

McSweeney is a genius! Lol.
24% of people who voted Labour at the last general election now plan to
vote Green or Lib Dem.

0% of those who voted Reform at the last election now plan to vote Labour.

At what point can we start blaming the public for constantly voting badly for decades, thus causing serious damage to the UK?

Anyway both of these men are bigoted ignorant losers that absolutely no one should listen to when it comes to the “attention economy” or anything else. They don’t understand technology or culture, they’re out getting fat and rich pushing reactionary BS.
Jonathan Haidt Promoted a Fringe Theory on Trans Youth — Assigned
The author of “The Anxiety Generation” told Margaret Hoover for PBS that young people become trans due to peer contagion effects. There is no evidence for this claim.

Notable that Labour's losses to the right (11%) are dwarfed by their losses within bloc (27%) and Don't Knows / WNVs (21%). Collectively 4.5 times as large. The argument that ONLY losses to the right matter in the constituencies Labour have to defend seems increasingly tenuous to me.

People talk about productivity but fail to acknowledge the lack of sufficient reason for the workforce to be motivated.

Take me: if I work super hard, I get given more work as a "reward".

No extra pay. No congratulations. No respect. Not even my human rights respected.

Fuck productivity.

If there ends up being a war, as I said previously, it will be because western nations like the UK and US desperately wanted one, wanted to force harsh discipline on kids, wanted to kill their own people, because they hate us. Not because of anything else. Our countries are the bad guys.

This is a truly horrifying account of increasingly likely collapse of essential natural systems which would bring mass food shortages, price rises & global disorder. Commissioned from UK intelligence chiefs but scandalously suppressed by Govt, & sneaked out now while attention is elsewhere 👇
