I rise with my red hair

#UK #TransRights An FOI has just confirmed what all of us have feared: for the Youth gender services, since July 2024, not a single patient has been referred to commence HRT. And 22 have been moved from youth to adult services , also without treatment. This is scandalous.
In essence it means don't count on the DfE to have your back if your trans. Nice country, the UK. www.gov.uk/government/p...

#UK #Transrights It seems the DfE is happy with single sex accommodations if schools want to implement it. Discrimination embedded in policy, despite only a snall percentage of schools being like that. Any child that has socially transitioned best check their school's position on single sex spaces.

Thank you for support from Monkey Cage listeners - I am asked many questions - this by @skepchick.org is the beginning of some answers - to be supportive of trans people & trans allies made me an extremist and too political - this explains some of that process

I'll have a look at the code when I can find some time to investigate. If I see anything that can be improved upon, I'll put it in Github under the project folder. Great work anyway!

And that will without a doubt only get worse once Kamilla Kingdom runs the show. I have to admit @england.nhs.uk how you find less qualified staff than the already vastly under qualified joke that's running it now, deserves an honorable mention (but certainly not more than that).

And pausing the normal pathway as it appears the NHS is doing, is continuation of a failed strategy which is a direct result of Dr Hilary Cass' ideological alignment with right-wing conservatists. No real surprise there,

a lot of the issues that trans people experience and are confronted with are simply societal issues. And secondly, putting all the energy on detransitioning and yet again not progressing in the slightest on the medical pathway, is honestly a severe dereliction of duty on the part of
NHS.

#UK #Transrights Judging by the response, it appears that the NHS is having difficulties finding detransitioners. But obviously that won't stop them from putting all their focus detransitioning. As valid as detransitioning is, no detransition is going fix society. And the root cause of

@jessdkant.bsky.social Hi Jess, great article. I did have a question. When I downloaded the csv file, there seems to be a UK specific gap on "gender identity". Any idea what has caused the absence of data for that term for most of 2023.. See screenshot of the pivot table built from the dataset.

that she has FEMALE phenotypes and a deviating SRY gene. And yes that does exist, there is a study about that. So anyone claiming she is a man is wrong again. It would make no sense for her to agree to testing if she knew she had xy chromosomes instead of xx for the 46th pair.

#Boxing #ImaneKhelif I've had to do some actual digging to find the interview with Imane Khelif. And as I suspected, the British media are lying about what was said. They now all claim she has a Y chromosome and accompanying SRY gene deviation. That is INCORRECT. In the interview they clearly state

#TransRights #Kaltiala I have very little doubt that Dr Kaltiala is up to no good. An embnargoed document, where the embargo remains in place until September 2026? That's a long time. So what don't they want people to see? It appears that she is now looking to link Bipolar to the list of factors.

#UK #Transrights The Scottish statutory instrument which introduces sex as a protected characteristic and has this section in it. I'm not a legal expert, but this can easily transform into a defining characteristic that can be used to simply put any transgender person outside of legal protection.

#UK #Transrights i am really wondering what Human Rights Watch is doing these days. The input on the UK is 5 years out of date and wholly ignores the situation for transgender people in the UK, with not even a passing comment on the Supreme Court ruling. @humanrightswatch.bsky.social

#UK #EHRC #TransRights it's a sad day in hell when you notice that the EHRC can't even accurately name one of the protected characteristics it is responsible for upholding. @ehrc.bsky.social this is really pathetic stuff.

How is it possible that we do the right thing in the Council of Europe and then act in the very opposite way of that proposal in the UK itself.

I've just read through the entire debate and the voting on the amendments. It's surreal almost to notice how the British are defending the resolution against attacks from gender critical mob and far-right conservatives. Because if I look at what's happening here, almost nobody stands up to be heard

Perhaps I had too high hopes and expectations.I should have known better than to expect anything resembling even a hint of journalism from media who even to this day deny to face the death and destruction they helped instigate. And then blamed it on the victims for finally fighting back.

I do wonder if your complete absence of ethical behaviour and moral compass, combined with a complete abandonnement of a will to exercise your profession with due care for accuracy, is worth the money. if all you're after is a paycheck, perhaps GB News is a better fit.
