Glad that someone has finally taken responsibility for the appalling assault on democracy that was the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Slightly confused that it's the Director-General of the BBC, but what do I know?

We still don’t know where Laure Ferrari, 46, got the £885,000 that she used to purchase her and Nigel Farage’s constituency home near Clacton-on-Sea. 🤔
Two donors to Nigel Farage’s partner Laure Ferrari convicted of fraud, money-laundering and forgery. Belgian court rules that Daniel Pawlowiec and Marian Szolucha illegally funnelled over £100,000—largely in public funds—to the think tank she ran.

This is demented across all parties. Absolutely absurd. Real degradation in our brain capacities in the UK.

All the critics will come out and say “New York is unique, it can’t be replicated”. Yes it can. A strong progressive voice, creative campaigning, good organising and commitment can win anywhere. Let’s take that lesson and apply it.

Also genuine recognition that there are different types of voters/constituencies who have a valuable voice in elections. UK politics speaks only to perceived voters and ignores everyone else. Large part of why we are in the position we are in today.
Zohran is stone cold man. Putting out an ad in Arabic after all the Islamophobic shit that’s been thrown his way? Pure swag.

Dems don’t need to copy his politics or even necessarily his campaign strategy, they need to learn how to grow a fucking spine.

I'm sorry but Tolkein was inspired heavily by Birmingham in writing LOTR. HARDLY "small town England".
Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

The people of the Caribbean are being forced to bear the costs of a crisis they did not cause. And they can’t afford the clean-up thanks to the legacy of colonialism.

To say this is unjust would be an understatement. It’s grotesque.

For New Yorkers who work the night shift, it can be nearly impossible to participate in political life of our city.

So tonight we’re bringing this campaign to them — starting with taxi drivers waiting at LaGuardia.

I've written for the Metro on how Starmer's latest attempt to look 'tough' on asylum seeker hotels has exposed him as a coward.

A government spending more just in order to inflict greater misery on refugees is beyond contempt - & that contempt is showing up in the polls. metro.co.uk/2025/10/29/k...

This case has always shown the farcical, and inhumane, nature of the Home Office, across multiple governments and Home Secretaries. A scared kid messes up on their claim and it takes 26 years to accept they should have been provided with asylum from the start

The political debate about immigration is completely divorced from the reality of what is happening, which is that it has been falling quite rapidly for some time now and is likely to continue doing so

Net migration to the UK is falling rapidly. But how far will it fall? A new, detailed estimate by @jamesbowes01.bsky.social projects net migration in 2026 will be 70K to 170K.

This will have significant consequences, both economic and political.

Starmer will literally put people in camps rather than tell Reform and the Tories to do one. Protect the rich, imprison the poor. Nice.
October 30, 2025 at 8:40 AM
Just landed back in UK and immediately see Labour trying to house asylum seekers in barracks. A strategy that was horrendous under the Tories and opposed by Labour at the time. Labour aren't in charge of themselves at this point, Reform are. There's more than these options but they won't listen.

Asylum applications in the UK are significantly below the average for all European countries. The only person helped by spreading this falsehood is Nigel Farage
