Repo markets are like the Webway: to be communed with by studied, battle-hardened experts with decades of knowledge and experience, and avoided by everyone else lest they be driven mad.
Among other things, the numbers involved in the repo market just absolutely break peoples' brains. Primary dealers have over *$8 trillion* in gross repo outstanding.

During the first two years of the First World War, around 40% of all bullet wounds to limbs required amputation to prevent dying from infection. Around a third of those amputees died of infection anyways.

In the later years of the war they got the amputee fatality rate down to around 10-15%.
