Côte-de-Liesse Station opens Jan 12! 🚆 It becomes the new terminus of exo’s Mascouche Line, connecting directly to the REM and cutting downtown travel times by up to 45 minutes.

There appear to be 6 double trains circulating between Blair and Trim this morning for testing of the Stage 2 East Extension. Based on observations of our live cameras at Bayview and Cyrville, it doesn't seem like they are doing end to end testing at this time, only Blair to Trim. Great to see!
⚠️O-Train Line 1 is closed along the full line today from 8 am to 12 pm to allow for software updates as part of the Stage 2 integration work.
➡️R1 service is running from Tunney’s Pasture to Blair stations from 8 am until 12 pm.

There appear to be 6 double trains circulating between Blair and Trim this morning for testing of the Stage 2 East Extension. Based on observations of our live cameras at Bayview and Cyrville, it doesn't seem like they are doing end to end testing at this time, only Blair to Trim. Great to see!

Full speed ahead: Ottawa–Montreal chosen as starting point for Alto High-Speed Rail. Construction of the Ottawa-Montreal segment is expected to begin in 2029. Beginning in January 2026, Alto will begin a comprehensive three-month consultation process.

A motion being put forward today for the budget that would see service frequencies on Line 1 increased off-peak to 6 minutes (from the current 10 minutes). This would be very welcome news and relief to many that travel outside of the peak periods during midway.

The Santa Train was running today, courtesy of the Bytown Railway Society at the Ottawa scitechmuseum. It was fun taking a short ride around the museum, on the tracks in the century old rail car, complete with a wood burning fireplace. Very cool and cozy. www.instagram.com/reel/DR7yPom...
