Excited to share our new paper where we find that the rise, decline and fall of clades is not explained by the usual suspects (diversity-dependence, ecological opportunities) but rather by species' insidious loss of macroevolutionary fitness: www.nature.com/articles/s41... 1/3

I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

Yet another example of what happens if we allow LLMs to become a form of epistemic grounding for society.
This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

I saw this at my Department during my PhD at the US, and is pasted in my current department as well. I don’t think it means what they think, and is wrong on so many levels… it is a failure as scientists

In a sane world, the government guilty of committing genocide would be dismantled, and forced to pay reparations. Instead they are allowed to corral their victims into a concentration camp and steal their land. We live in the most obscene of all possible timelines.

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3
