You may wonder why they would assault, handcuff, and arrest someone who is wearing a funny mask and doing a silly little dance. It's simple. There is nothing the cowards in the United States government fear more than a citizen who is not afraid of them.

I've heard a lot of commentary about "Minnesota Nice" recently, so I feel the need to point out what it actually constitutes is a social adaptation to be able to share a relatively enclosed space with someone you don't particularly like without having to go outside or violence breaking out.

Indeed. Today we have literal *decades* of evidence backed research and operational experience showing what works in terms of content moderation (and many things DO work). But time after time folks in management/ownership positions of social media companies remain studiously incurious about it.

I used the volunteer at homeless shelters were the residents worked up to 38 hours per week doing manual labor.

Many employers didn’t want them working 40 hours a week regularly, because then they’d have to offer benefits.
“The working homeless” is not a myth. They want us to be invisible so they don’t have to answer for what this capitalistic hellscape is doing to us all.

It’s real. We exist. We’re a growing class of people (which is why folks want to look away). And I’ll never be quiet about it.

Current* cold war
i think, however, this is a crystal clear example that the next cold war is actually democracy vs autocracy and the battle lines run right through every single advanced democracy. there aren't really any safe harbors.

Oh you finally figured out that Michael Cohen is bad? What gave it away -- the lifelong mafia ties, the pedophile coverup, or the ceaseless grifting?

Everyone who boosted him should be ashamed. You went on his show for fame. You could have said no. I said no multiple times. But you have no ethics.

From an optics perspective... the protesters being the ones waving the US flag while Bovino et al looks like every awful nazi inspired movie we've ever seen... hats off to Minnesotans.
Greg Bovino was seen earlier today at the Minneapolis ICE facility dressed in a very nazi-inspired outfit. They don’t even hide anymore.

What an absolute waste of money.

Let me tell y'all about guys like Newsom, because we learned the hard way in Dallas.

Eric Johnson was a respected Democratic state rep when he was elected mayor in 2019. This made sense, as Dallas is deep blue. Johnson's tenure began normally.

But then he started hanging out with Republicans. 🧵
Ben Shapiro: "Israel did not commit a genocide in Gaza"
Gavin Newsom: "I agree with you."
