A cabbage, or Something. I should have learned kung fu, instead of ethics. Bees are good, bees are good, I believe that bees are good.. 2+2=-3 in Z/7Z. e/em
I've heard a lot of commentary about "Minnesota Nice" recently, so I feel the need to point out what it actually constitutes is a social adaptation to be able to share a relatively enclosed space with someone you don't particularly like without having to go outside or violence breaking out.

I did it on Wednesday to see the new Jim Jarmusch movie.
Hands up if you've deliberately travelled to another town or city just to see a movie.

Yep. Quite a few times. Including thanks to Netflix's own limited release model sometimes.
"You’re not going to get in the car and go to the next town to see a movie," says Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos

As a white person, I genuinely do not think I am expected to like "carry around my birth certificate when I go to the store" so it's telling that anybody thinks this is a reasonable ask for anybody.

This is especially funny in light of the featurette they played after the theatrical presentation of Good Boy where they explain how Indy did no acting, they just leveraged normal dog reactions with the Kuleshov effect through the edit.
‘Good Boy’ star Indy the Dog has won ‘Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller’ at the Astra Film Awards.

I mean it's not original but the river I am closest to at home is the Mississippi.
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Mine is the Patuxent.

In binary the CFB natty is between number one and number two.

Everything I hear about this movie makes me less excited to see it.

Oh no Ducks.

It appears that the Indiana Hoosiers have the mandate of heaven.

I think what this points to is that Conference Championship *games* are sort of irrelevant in terms of "determining who won the championship" or "who the best team is". The way the Ivy League does it where it's just conference record and you can have five-way ties would work for the Big Ten and SEC.
it’s gonna be genuinely interesting to see how CFB fans feel if we get two straight years of a national champion that didn’t even play in its conference championship

On one hand, that's not a catch, on the other hand rule of cool.

This is almost certainly about the difficulty of ferrying soup to the roof compared to elsewhere in the restaurant (and the ensuing cleanup when soup is spilled.)

I wouldn't put it past Right Wing Pretzel Logic to interpret this as the *Northern* Hemisphere so they'll use that as an excuse to invade Norway and China or whatever.
Oh so it doesn't count as a war, which you guys claimed to be against, if you don't cross the Atlantic

When I was about 6 years old one time I ran full speed down some stairs into a brand new glass door at a friend's house when, in my defense, that door had not yet been installed when I went upstairs.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

I appreciated that the 40 for 40 for the Holiday Bowl was a sing-a-long.
January 2, 2026 at 5:50 PM
Very funny if the outcome of the quarterfinals in the CFB playoff is "it's impossible to win coming off a bye unless you're the unstoppable juggernaut that is the Indiana Hoosiers."
January 2, 2026 at 4:06 AM
Here are some teams that scored more than 3 points against the Indiana football Hoosiers: Penn State (24), Oregon (20), Iowa (15), Old Dominion (14), Michigan State (13), Ohio State (10), Illinois (10), Maryland (10), Kennesaw State (9), Wisconsin (7), UCLA (6).

The deeply satisfying part of the Rose Bowl is that Indiana is the team that will beat you up playing fundamentally sound football and Alabama is the team that needs Wackyball to happen to have a chance.

I just yelled "don't do that!" at my television.

Now Ryan Day has to sit on a golf cart and eat the traditional sad pizza.

Notre Dame fans in shambles.

Dove x Crumbl legitimately sounds like an Onion or SNL bit.

The good thing about Iowa winning the Outback bowl is that I do not need to follow the instructions of @celebrityhottub.bsky.social and do crimes at an Outback Steakhouse because I cannot eat Coconut Shrimp due to a shellfish allergy.
