Hi (thank you @dbrauer.bsky.social)! I'm Bree and I live in Minneapolis, which I hope was fairly obvious. I have a cool dog (@banjompls.bsky.social), and I'm a recruiter with many opinions. I like trivia, reading, fundraising, and meddling in politics. I'm learning Swedish so I can flee the U.S.

So let me get this straight: The President’s plan to lower prices is to roll back some of his own tariffs?

Honestly, until like the 1970s or 1980s, people have held the attitude that adult men having sex with teenagers is "normal" and "biologically wired." They still believe it, they just learned to stop talking about it openly at some point.
Conservatives when it's a 15 year old in library; "These are children and I can't believe we are letting them read smut like Twilight!!!"

Conservatives when it's a 15 year old sex trafficking victim; "Looks, these people are practically legal. Barely legal even"

My most woke opinion? Geez, I don't know, that immigration is fucking great and we need significantly more of it immediately? Probably that.
My most *boring* woke opinion is that “peace*, order, and good government” [🍁] is a necessary prerequisite for “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” [🇺🇸].

*defined as ‘not the absence of war, but the presence of justice.’
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Hey! The world is just awful, so do something fun.
Hi skeeps, it's time for the annual Bluesky Secret Santa! It's delightfully chaotic and very low-pressure.

Once you get a name, you pick your gift based on what you know/learn from someone's Bluesky.

$15 max. DM me by the 23rd if you want to participate. It's a good time!

Wow, Jacob using Trump's playbook, very cool
there are a couple different claims that he makes (I think another is something about an 8.5x increase…) but they’ve been making this one for years, since that 2022 The Way Home report. I was going to link it here, but it appears they’ve scrubbed it online since I wrote my LTE?

Another way of looking at this is if each of the US’s 19,000 cities, towns & villages had their own solar thermal plant, THE MEAN AVERAGE would be 2sq km or .77sq miles.

Less than a square mile doesn’t seem so bad, does it.
One ~182km x ~211km solar thermal plant could provide all of America’s electricity, including a fully-electrified land transport sector.

100% clean power from just 0.39% of U.S land.

That’s why renewables are constantly under attack from the fossil fuel industry and their paid mouthpieces.

IMPEACHMENT IS CALVINBALL
Impeachment is calvinball. There are literally no rules other than what is in the constitution.

If a majority of the House thinks something is impeachable, then it is.

Yes @indivisible.org wow. That sounds like a GREAT idea.
i have an idea that we should change the “no kings” theme to “impeach now” or “impeach trump”. it’s a more direct message and ask. it could create a ton of pressure, especially for any sitting pol who attends the “impeach now” protests.

Recently I found some pants in my closet that I'd never worn and didn't remember buying. They're the tightest pants I've ever worn and they look AWESOME.

Today my laser nurse, who has never said anything personal or off-script to me, told me I looked good. 🥰🥰🥰
