The infuriating ways certain sports get region locked is why I point blank refuse to pay for a sky subscription to watch formula 1 and sail the high seas.

I haven't paid for the Raiders in a couple seasons because that level of play is just not worth any money. Out of market NFL is so expensive!
agree 100%. If you don't live near your favorite team where they are on free tv, you need ESPN, Peacock and Amazon Prime. Total bullshit. I'm glad I didn't subscribe to Peacock last night to see the Packers play like shit. If it isn't on free tv, I'm out.

They really hate the fans and want to extract as much as possible out of us. The whole shifting from USA/NBC/Peacock for matches has been so goddamned frustrating and annoying. Anything to find another way to get every penny out of us.

I cannot overstate the number of problems and annoyances it causes in my life when my EPL game is taken for the USA Network. I hate the USA Network with a passion. I hope they lose this deal.

In Japan, you don’t find public garbage cans. People are expected to dispose of their personal refuse in their personal garbage cans. And everywhere is clean.

Anecdotally, I have noticed what seems like a resurgence of the old school wire cans. I totally dig it from a nostalgia perspective, but it's otherwise not great they're still around.
Yes, and as an additional problem, we have a lot of public garbage cans that have no lid so even if you put garbage in it blows everywhere. Absolutely preposterous to have those in a public park.

General pickup in Upper Manhattan has been pretty good, but I'll add the caveat that oversize/bulk pickup has definitely lagged a bit.

They're two days late as of now (counting the delay for Christmas). I wish I could say it's just a holiday thing but they are routinely one to two days late. Sometimes more for recycling. Block is currently a bit of a mess.
recently moved to a new neighborhood but I lived in one place for most of Adams and trash pickup was one of just several city services that totally tanked under him over there (PLG)
