Heads up, people who voted in the Seattle mayoral race.
There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

UPDATE: No written order issued as of now in the multistate SNAP benefits case, and I was holding off on writing something at Law Dork until I saw the order, so this will be put off for Tuesday.
Also: In the other SNAP case, plaintiffs supplemental response is due at SCOTUS by 8a Tuesday.

WHAT HAPPENED?
In the multistate SNAP case, Judge Talwani will:
- keep USDA's 11/8 order that states "undo" full payments or face penalties stayed for now
- issue a TRO mirroring the RI case TRO to protect states directly
- likely address an error states say USDA made in its partial payment tables

"The existing library is scheduled to close at the end of the year."
“What you are seeing in a place like Yakima County is the start, not the end," said Kate Laughlin, executive director of the Association for Rural & Small Libraries and a former librarian with the city of Seattle. (Anna Griffin / NY Times)
Rural libraries in WA and beyond hammered by federal cuts, ICE raids, slowing economy
Like many rural small towns, Tieton, in Washington's Yakima County, is finding it untenable to keep its one-room library, a “civic symbol” for the town.

A few weeks ago I zoomed with a group of high school students and their adult mentor to discuss taking social action. I am thrilled to report that this group of 10 students raised $10,000 in two weeks to support their local food pantry. They sent me a photo and it has them all jumping and I tear up.

I would argue that is something we have a term for and an existing, if old, social system for punishing others for consorting with.
