I didn't think I was a 'math person' when I was young because I was a bookworm, and those things were mutually exclusive in my mind. I went to uni and studied science, which (surprise!) had quite a bit of math. With lots of elbow grease and patience - I got good. Both skills require study(for most)

I did a disservice to myself by not actually learning to learn - and I hope they realize that sooner than I did. It's more like a simulacrum of reading than actually reading. That said, I'm aiming to fix this for myself - never too late, eh?
