This is an actual attempt at democratic deliberation within an organization where members will weigh in. And that's actually a good thing.
While this all looks and feels very messy for NYC-DSA, it certainly beats the current system where almost everything is done behind closed doors at the behest of consultants & the only choice Democratic voters are given are to either get in line or zone the fuck out.

OED has "Faerie" going back to Spenser, "fey" as "fairylike" in 1823, and there's obviously "Morgan le Fay" from French, but can't find much for "the fae" til quite recently!

Took a criminology class a few years back and learned trans people did not have their own hate crime statistic until around 10 years ago, they would be considered gay/lesbian hate crime and added to that statistic. So many more trans people could have been hurt and killed than we will ever know.
