Insane but true fact: making US roads as safe as Canadian, Australian, or European roads would save more lives than eliminating murder from the US.
The right just eats this shit up. People who support this will always vote for a pedo when given the choice.

The burbs are trying to reinstate parking minimums near Metra stations and busy Pace routes.

Don’t let them.

Submit an “opponent” witness slip below.
What's up with Rep. Hirschauer trying to modify the ban on parking minimums near TOD (People over Parking Act) to make it apply only to Chicago? If you want to slip against this (ilga.gov/House/Hearin...) ilga.gov/Legislation/...

Many on the left are skeptical that the abundance agenda can fix the housing crisis. Open your eyes. The GOP has been preaching abundance for gasoline since long before I was born. And look at the results. They're all around us! Gas prices near where they were 20 years ago. Boundless car dependence.

The neighborhood with the least displacement is the one building the most luxury housing. I guess inclusionary zoning kinda works after all.

We're launching a Northwest Side chapter‼️ Join us next Thursday (2/19) at Pilot Project in Logan Square!

Over the years, this corridor has seen rising housing costs & worse commutes. We need elected officials who prioritize smart, sustainable growth & expanded transit service.

Number of car crashes at each half mile grid intersection in Chicago, 2016-2025. Stony Island has 2 of the worst. There are some pretty bad intersections that aren't on here too, like along Grand, Ida B Wells, Michigan, DLSD, and the Ohio/Ontario feeder ramp area. This also excludes interstates.

Yay Chicago (?) but this graph is still super embarrassing to look at.
With more than 3B riders, the NYC MTA remains by far America's busiest transit agency

But there was a big shakeup in the ranking of other major transit agencies in 2025, with Chicago's CTA reclaiming the #2 spot from LA Metro and DC's WMATA then bumping LA Metro to 4th place
