Elementary schools should have sidewalk mandates. Connected sidewalk networks and marked crosswalks must provide access to at least, let's say, 500 homes.

60 would be the most likely I think. But rerouting the 60 past the blue line at Racine would be worse than routing it past the Clinton blue line imo because of the lower frequency past UIC.

I contacted La Spata's office about it and apparently their office offered an upzone during the initial discussions with the developer but the developer declined. Weird stuff.

The funny thing is the Paris area only has like twice as many people yet it has 20x as many train stations. And even the Paris area doesn't have a ton of people, there are six 100km circles around the world with 60+ million people (Dhaka, Delhi, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Cairo).

I got a very similar response from the alder's office. I tried to pigeonhole them by asking if they though vehicle volumes through the community should change or stay the same, to which they said those types of decisions are for traffic engineers to make. Ironic as that's how the US got where it is.

This is a double standard. We need speed limiters on cars first. Worry about ebikes later.
