I'm JG. I'm from NP. In Chicago. On a bike. He/Him/His.
He means guerilla dismantled and the parts sold to fill gaps in the city budget.
Seriously, these need to be treated as ADA violations, and fined.

Hey, it's not too late to add a new tax to next year's Chicago budget!
Example 1000 of these privately operated machines from Uber blocking access to sidewalks for pedestrians and people using strollers and mobility aids.

“Chicago is where I was born and raised. And honestly, biking just makes me feel at peace. I'm usually not the most calm person - when I'm biking though, my mind is centered. I can pay attention to my surroundings. It's kind of like a meditation for me.” 🧵

If you're supporting the same thing Ray Lopez is supporting, just what are you fucking doing?
A Sunday read — 26 members of the Chicago City Council signed a letter expressing concern about Mayor Brandon Johnson’s proposal to tax wealthy corporations, making them pay their fair share.

Here’s a look at who’s for/against the proposal.

Emanuel killed it. Johnson wants it back. Chicago’s corporate head tax debate is about more than money • The TRiiBE
Proponents say former Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s removal of the corporate head tax left a hole in the city's budget that was never replaced; they want the rich to pay their fair share.

Thats cool and all but it seems like you should keep the bench, rule against him consistent with your understanding of law and precedent, and retire when he doesnt get to appoint your replacement
BREAKING: Mark Wolf, appointed to the federal bench by Ronald Reagan, writes that he is resigning as a judge to have the freedom to speak out against the president's assault on the rule of law.

If you have a Ring camera, congratulations, you're now a cop, and therefore, a bastard
missed this earlier but ring, amazon’s surveillance company, announced a partnership last month with flock.

law enforcement agencies that use flock systems can now send ask users for footage through the company’s “community requests” portal.

Tonight was the inaugural ride of our new home buyout program. We connect with vendors too scared to be out, and we purchase from them at home. Tonight we bought 250 tamales, divided into 3 teams to deliver all over the city to folks on the street, Love Fridges, and a youth shelter.

Going to assume that they've been given orders to not take orders from anyone but people like Miller, and to ignore judges, civic leaders, etc. We can "but but court order ..." all we want, but that stuff doesn't exist any more. They are going to keep pushing until people kneel or react differently.
Bovino instantly violates new court order. About an hour after Ellis entered this injunction, a group of agents, including Bovino, drove away from a SWSide gas station where they were confronted by protestors, and fired a round of pepper balls at a sedan that pulled up alongside their vehicle
Bovino claims agents operate ‘legally, ethically and morally’ same day injunction issued in court

The real takeaway is not about courts being jammed with dumb stuff.

We should ALSO consolidate school systems. Like, a lot of them.

A lot a lot of them.
This is seriously a problem. I think Chicago should absord some inner ring suburbs and the. The rest of Cook should consolidate into like 3-5 municipaloties. Further out suburbs should also consolidate with each other so that they are at least like 200k-300k

Ellis starts with a motion from the @Suntimes and @chicagotribune to intervene and unseal records.

She complains it was filed around 11 last night.

"I have no idea how you could possibly think that between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. I would have any chance whatsoever" to review it.
