Last night was the last home buyout of 2025. It was a cold one but 4 brave souls biked across Chicago to pickup 250 tamales and distribute them to folks on the street. That’s over $5k and 1,780 tamales in the last 2 weeks alone. Stay tuned for our 2025 wrapped!!

Last night was the last home buyout of 2025. It was a cold one but 4 brave souls biked across Chicago to pickup 250 tamales and distribute them to folks on the street. That’s over $5k and 1,780 tamales in the last 2 weeks alone. Stay tuned for our 2025 wrapped!!
Boxing Day? More like Tamale Day! 730 tamales bought from local street vendors to fill community fridges and feed homies on the street. Best part: one of the vendors gave us some free samples to enjoy. That’s community. This is mutual aid. This is #BikeChi ✊🏽

Can’t stop, won’t stop. While traversing through the Loop, spotted a vendor with her nina. Bought her out. She asked if I could help her friends. She called 2 more little ninos from different corners. Bought them out. Spotted another candy vendor, bought her out. ✊🏽🫶🏽

Last night we picked up 10 dozen tamales and lots of snacks and drinks and passed them out all over Little Village and Pilsen, stopping by one of our favorite Love Fridges. Tonight we pick up 680 tamales from Hermosa/Belmont Cragin as our Christmas Giveaway Rides continue!

Tonight was the last night we had home buyouts scheduled this week. No pictures taken tonight so enjoy this soothing video from our buyout earlier this week. Imagine a steadfast tamale vendor handing me 10 dozen tamales and excited teenagers at a youth shelter asking me where they all came from.
Tonight we picked up 196 tamales from 2 vendors and passed them out from Pilsen to West Garfield Park and then to one of our favorite Love Fridges. ❤️

With ICE back in Chicago terrorizing our communities and kidnapping our neighbors, we called an emergency buyout this morning. We bought out 6 vendors, over $1,000, filled a Love Fridge and lots of food to homies on the street. We keep us safe. ✊🏽

It’s that time of year I tell the ppl in my phone when I moved to Chicago for transit and my first winter CTA did me dirty and I bought all the winter cyclist gear and never looked back ⛄️ 🚲
