It does appear all the voting rights amendments have still left some wiggle room
February 10, 2026 at 4:41 PM
That’s great!

Only one of these is a constitutional right, you knob
Mike Johnson: "Americans need an ID to drive, to open a bank account, to buy cold medicine, to file govt assistance, even to attend the DNC. So why would voting be any different? They can't answer that question."

This is fucking amazing. Thank you for all you’re doing!!

You’re a union steward, you teach, and you do an arts thing that’s sustaining for people who are particularly vulnerable to despair? You’re crushing it!

None of us can do everything on our own (I’ve had to step back from quite a few things because I’m just one person) but if we all do what we can, it goes a long way

It’s important work! Door knocking is not my thing so I’m glad it’s yours!
February 10, 2026 at 3:47 PM

Mutual aid and putting your money into the community is so huge. Thank you for lifting up your neighbors!
February 10, 2026 at 3:44 PM
Yay! If you have a date, time, and location, I can bring supplies and help promote
February 10, 2026 at 3:43 PM
YES! King shit right here. That reminds me I need to talk to the block party neighbor about our summer block party.
February 10, 2026 at 3:42 PM
That’s super important work! And I appreciate you doing it, since anything that takes more than a couple hours can be a really hard sell.
February 10, 2026 at 3:35 PM
I also want to start whistle packing parties again but have been a little lazy getting them going, so let me know if you’re looking for a thing and want this to be yours
February 10, 2026 at 3:34 PM
I love both of these!! Schools are such lovely places of resistance. I’m on the informal Antifa party planning committee at mine, haha

This is why domestic "shuffle" flights between ICE detention centers have skyrocketed, much moreso than ICE deportation flights.

When you are moved to a different jurisdiction, you have to refile your habeas petition all over again. They want to wear people down so they'll give up on their cases.

I’m working on planning a popfest in the fall, because joy and community are resistance.

Chicago cannot afford the Chicago Police Department. 🧵
Taxpayers should pay $29.1M to 4 men who spent a combined 71 years in prison after they were framed by a disgraced ex-CPD detective for separate murders between 1991 & 1997, city lawyers recommended.

The city spent $5.2M to fight those lawsuits.

Here are their stories, for @wttw.bsky.social:
City Lawyers Recommend Paying $16.6M Man Who Spent 13 Years in Prison After Being Framed by Disgraced Ex-Detective
Chicago taxpayers paid an additional $2 million to defend the other Chicago police officers named in Johnson's lawsuit, which was filed in 2020, according to records obtained by WTTW News through a Fr...

Inspired by @gregpak.net, please tell me something you’re doing, other than voting and attending No Kings marches, that opposes fascism or helps your community. Let’s share our ideas!

You know I’m doing whistle crew and fundraising for mutual aid. I’m hoping to do more local work again soon.

If you want a feel good moment, look at the folks from outside the US sending filament to whistle printers. If you want a second feel good moment, click the link, spend $20, and you can do it too.

If you want to help keep us in filament, this is the absolute best way to do it. Protopasta is the absolute best filament (one of my printers is on its last legs, and will only print reliably if I feed it Protopasta!) and they are aligned with the cause, which makes it even better!

They want to put a lot of us* in there.

* This means you, if you're reading this. They want to put you in there. Find your organizing home and start pushing back.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Yesterday was Catimir Pulaski’s adoption anniversary but he was recovering from a cold. Today he’s going to get some kind of human food for dinner, probably fried chicken
