Packers lose. Usually I’d say America is doomed but at this point you don’t want the country depending on that offense

On a long enough timeline it appears every Packers coach reverts to Mike McCarthy

I dunno, I feel like an achievable way for Elon to improve at keeping a partner would be to stop constantly offering other women his sperm in little cups
I know people think Musk only bought Twitter to help the rise of fascism.

While that’s important, I still think it’s secondary to his primary goal, which was to own the place where his fans praise him.

With AI, Musk’s use of the platform for love and validation is only getting more transparent.

Talked to Sir Tim Berners-Lee about the future of the web, AI, and how he feels about ~all this~ www.theverge.com/podcast/8145...
Sir Tim Berners-Lee doesn’t think AI will destroy the web

All the people that would call for these hearings are also busy banging their laptops
40 years ago we’d have congressional hearings falsely accusing metal bands of putting backwards messages in their songs that told kids to kill themselves & now we have a planet-killing chatbot that’s all like “bet you won’t commit suicide chickenshit bitch” & the government is like here’s $5 billion

These dorks AI-generated a car with no engine and didn’t realize it
guy with no tools who doesn’t know how many cylinders his car has after ten minutes of ChatGPT: I can fix this

guy’s girlfriend after consulting her ChatGPT with memory mode enabled: This is exactly like when we went camping and there’s actually a term for this behavior

We were like, we should make a meter for @dompreston.com’s weekly Trump Phone check in, and then we realized it could just be a jpg lol www.theverge.com/news/816484/...
Does the Trump phone exist yet?
No, it does not.

I would put more money on continuing to harvest infinite energy from the sun over assuming that forcing everyone to use The Machine The Lies To You is the steady basis of an entire economy
A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?
China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB

Influencers have fractured reality in Portland
Right-wing content creators managed to successfully brand the Portland police as ‘antifa.’

The endgame of the disinformation and media capture we've been enduring has arrived. Bad info needs to only influence a handful of judges to profoundly change the world.
